veezy.. we were just talking to our guys about how out of all of us coaches only one of us has been part of a DISTRICT championship... much less state... congrats bro... your posts crack me up and i know you get excited about football period.. considered coaching at all??

That's always my concern in situations like that. But as long as it doesn't rain (def -- when water falls from the sky; a rare occurence in Texas), it should be okay. I sometimes think that teams should warm up off the field in these circumstances to reduce cleat marks, etc. on the field.

Weather Underground says temps of around 65-67 at game times (I used the 12 noon and 6 pm times); partly cloudy with a 10% chance of rain; winds S 11 mph switching to SSE 9 mph.
I'm bringing a jacket.

Freddy (9-3) & Tyler Street (11-1) at Killeen Harker Heights
Lifegate & Brenham (both 12-0) at Leander campus of Summit Christian (game will be broadcast at www.seguintoday.com and maybe on the Brenham station).
I'm sticking with Lifegate and Freddy in the finals.
Dude, its Sunday and I already got butterflies for this game ! I got other things I need to do this week! Oh well. The possibility of a Lifegate /Freddy State title game would be beyond all you could ask or think.You got to like the conduct and attitude of the Brenham players and fans.Alot like the Freddy bunch.Just a nice bunch of Texas folks. Hope we all can maintain respectful attitudes thru this week and the following weeks. I know Brenham looks awesome and has good players .I have seen them play. I wonder how Thanksgiving and game preparation factors into this mix?

my job is unsafe right now because ALL i can think about is how i'm making it home to see this game... i'm so excited and so proud of these teams that have made it this far... problem is if you have no affiliation to any of these schools, which game do you go to?? Both games are extremely high profile and possible nail biters...
