Playoff Predictions

Come on people, really!! Am I the only one who is tired of hearing about Seguin Lifegate and Brenham. Yes, they are both really good teams, and there is a really good chance that they will meet somewhere deep in the playoffs. But that seems to be all that is being discussed on every thread on the TAPPS D-II message board. Granted, every once in a while you may have a fan or parent throw in schools like Tyler Street or Freddy in the mix of these conversations. Oh yeah, which reminds me Veezy, Duncanville closed down last year, sit at home, look at your state ring from LAST YEAR, and quit reminding us about it and your former teammates! Let's start getting some interesting topics to talk about on here, and not worry about being put on double elimination, twice baked probation, and whatever else they call it when an individual tries to give their opinion on a topic! And yes we all know, just like in the movie Star Wars, at the end the strongest two powers aways meet to battle it out aka: Vader and Skywalker, we don't need to be constantly reminded who the top 2 to 3 teams are in this division, they'll meet eventually in Moody, and maybe before then, depending on the bracket, and may the best team win! OUT!!!!!!!!

Children, this is a salon, not a saloon.

Was gonna post this before, but the computer froze up.

Looking at the brackets, the bottom half has to be between the winner of Lifegate and Brenham, if that game comes about in two weeks. Right now, the favored team has to be Brenham, but we'll see what happens that day. Two excellent teams and the one that does the little things right wins.

At the top of the bracket, I see three teams that can compete for the other spot in the finals; no particular order: Fredricksburg Heritage, Dallas Tyler Street and Brownwood Victory Life. It's gonna be the strongest survives.

the other guy, the new guy, the old guy, the deceased guy. I'm not sure what you are thinking or talking about. I'm glad you went to the game and saw this team and i know they haven't played the schedule Brenham has but that means NOTHING! I'm not sure if mr. akin was hating on his coaches or not. (didn't really know what to think about his post). or why he would hate on them if he did. There is no arrogance from lifegate anywhere on here. Team support? yes. who can blame them. and as far as pissing the brenham kids off, how can they be pissed that lifegate respects them? These same conversations were going on last year and it was THE CLOSEST GAME brenham won. and then they lost to duncanville which nobody believed would happen except christway themselves. back off! and as the lifegate staff would say, lets just play the game. i think we can all agree on one thing. whoever wins that game is going to win state. those coaches AND PLAYERS plan to win state and are not intimidated by any record or schedule anybody has played. what about the brenham kids? how do they feel that EVERYBODY expects them to win? it goes both ways if expectations mean unwanted pressure. and if veezy deletes his account i'm just that much more for lifegate winning. i like the underdogs which is why i pulled for them in the first place but all this trash going their direction really upsets me. they're just another program trying to do what they set out to do. they played great against freddy and have risen to every opponents level thus far this season. whos to say they won't do it against brenham?

i appreciate that bud i really do.. but this has gone far enough...i don't want my school viewed as arrogant, dirty, or being hated in any way shape or form... i wasn't serious about what i said in the first place.. it was meant to be a laugh and wasn't taken that way... i apologized before and will do it again... my guys don't even read this site... THEY are the most humble group of kids i know... even if sometimes i get carried away with their success... again this is an apology and i won't speak of it any more... consider the pride swallowed and lets enjoy these next four games no matter the outcome...

How can we NOT talk about Lifegate and Brenham in this topic? They are the clear favorites. I think they will both end up there also having seen the other teams that they both could be playing in the second round.

I've been beating their drum all year, but the game of the week this week will be in Heath. Fulton v. WF Notre Dame ought to be a pretty fun matchup. I saw these 2 play earlier this year (74-60 Notre Dame), and it was a fun game to watch. Fulton is tough to beat at home (4-1 this year), and Notre Dame is a solid team. For Notre Dame, #34 is a tough kid to bring down, and #25 is a fast little back. Fulton, from what I hear, is finally 100% healthy with all 13 players suiting up for this first time all year, and they are a much better team defensively with the kids that have been out. They could be a dark horse if they can get through this week.

I also think that Freddy, Tyler Street, or Victory Life is coming out of the top bracket. My pick for the final is Freddy v. Brenham.

Memo to self ... be sure to talk to Granger about banning LazyJ from this board for this blasphemy. Seriously, there was some talk last week that the loser of the Lifegate/Freddy game had the easier shot to the finals.

haha i don't believe in karma... and hate is an absolute... so i don't like to say that either (unless i'm talking about my job) :roll: ... and the correct way to say it is.. Read all on this board, I'm not the first to say that were tired of hearing about your past championships, teammates, and coaches (Let it be established in the mouths of 2 or 3 witnesses!) I've heard it said, from a wise man... If a person calls you a donkey pay him no mind, but if two or more people call you a donkey, you better go buy a saddle!

Jeremy ... let's not pencil in that Heath Fulton game just yet. Notre Dame did beat them earlier in the season but the game is at Heath, where those Falcons are 4-1. And we gotta beat Christ the King first. It is win or go home afterall.
