Rochelle vs Richland

Will Rochelle be able to put together a sizable lead in the first half to hold off a R.S team without their star player? (Suspended 1st half). I personally think Rochelle is extremely underrated and even if Ethridge did get to play the whole game it would be a nail biter. That being said Richland should already be in playoff mode and playing a lot smarter after last weeks loss because if they lose this week then their season is pretty much done for

My pick is Rochelle by 8
I think rochelle will build at least a 24 point lead at the half then it will dwindle down in the second half and the coyotes will come up just short in the end missing the playoffs for the first time in ____ years.

The Toy says that Rochelle is a 30 point underdog. However, I wonder if it takes into account that Braxton Ethridge is suspended from playing in the 1st half ?

Nope, The Toy doesn't know anything about that. There is no human influence in The Toy after the season starts other than letting it know what the scores are from week to week. So Richland being a 30 point favorite is solely because of where they started the season, where Rochelle started season, and what each team has done each week since then.

Rochelle has played a pretty soft schedule..Nueces Canyon, Paint Rock, Lometa, Evant, Moran, Lohn are the wins with Medina being the loss. I will have to see how they do against top level competition. Should be a good one.

Excellent point! I’ve been saying this all year… not about this team in particular, but about other teams that have played soft schedules and have not been tested yet. To me you have to put a team in the Vice and squeeze to really know how they will react.

That was a helluva 2nd half by Rochelle. I kind of gave up at the half with RS up 44-22 and momentum going into halftime and BE JR coming out of it. I went to another website I frequent and got distracted. Nearly thirty minutes later I checked in here scanning Friday night scores. No final on this one. Hmm. Clicked back on the game. 44-28 late 3rd. Rochelle shut out RS the second half and came within 2 xp's of OT or 3 of winning. Hat's off to both teams. BE might have made the difference, on defense on a few plays. It took a great team effort by both teams.
I posted the score on here with 3-4 clicks on the clock to be sure. Mike beat me to it.

Your not a fan of him I guess.
I love my brother.
Of course it frustrates me to not see him succeed.

I’ve praised him his whole life.
His greatness isn’t defined by football.
He’ll dominate in track.
That’s his first love.

But tonight those boys did look better without him that first half.
To deny that is political correctness.
That ideology can go to hell.

It was amazing to watch those boys rally together. It needs to be praised!
Very exciting, honestly.
Keston was a man child.
I’ve been waiting to see him play like that all year.
Very fun to watch!

It’s the Ethridge syndrome.
This happened to us my junior year against Lometa.
The guys relied too much on me going into that game.
Lometa embarrassed us that first half.
Haustin came in as a freshman and did a great job but the upper classmen didn’t. Made him look bad.

If y’all can’t handle a brother criticizing another brother I know a few liberal Twitter pages you should follow.

This is why it wouldn’t be good for me to come coach at Richland Springs like I’ve been thinking about doing.
My expectation would be too high for those boys. I think Cohen has it, but we won’t know until we see it.
Seeing and hearing the responses on here show me I wouldn’t be good for the program. 😂

I tend to forget how weak minded people are today.
(Let’s get offended by everything.)
And yes, everything I say on here has meant to be used for reverse psychology.

I’m clearly at fault here because apparently everyone thinks I’m against them now for doing so.

I’m not.

I just thought reverse psychology would work like it did for me when I played.
I would get on this forum just to find motivation from the naysayers and faultfinders.

Now a days kids want positive affirmation about everything! Kiss my boo boo mommy!

I’m all about positivity—I’m a faith preacher!
But there comes a time where you call out what needs to be said.

That’s what has made Richland Springs the greatest six man football program of all time. If we lose that we’ll lose our identity.

Sadly, I don’t think this way of criticism works today.
Therefore this will be my last post.

I’m gonna go fishing with Goob.
