Based on past history it's safe to say they are quality team but how would you know? I know you can only beat the teams on your schedule but perhaps a tougher schedule could be put together?
Little Doc":4v8ql6t5 said:Richland Springs faces the same problem each year that the better teams in the state face year after year: if you are a consistent winner, it becomes harder and harder to schedule good, competitive games because people lack faith in their team's ability to compete, and their record is more important to them than playing better competition in order to improve their team. A lot of good teams really don't face a lot of tough competition until 2-3 rounds in the playoffs. To those teams that will schedule these tougher teams during the year, good for you. You have to compete with the best to become the best.
Yeah I suppose Richland should have cancelled a district game (Mullin) and played Crowell.............WV Backer":1g7uz76k said:You may have a point there, Little Doc, but they could have jumped on the opportunity to play Crowell when the Wildcats were looking for a game like Calvert did. Perhaps their schedule didn't permit such an arduous endeavour but I'm sure Crowell would have obliged.
Thanks for clearing that up for me Bill. Who knew the playoffs were so important?Bill O'Rielly":pciya53m said:The schedule you draw from Week 12-16 is ALL that matters!

RS was struggling and lometa was pretty good that year. Don't give me that "RS plays a tough schedule and can't schedule quality teams" nonsense. RS schedules teams they can beat, they don't test the waters against powerhouses in pre district play.
They didn't exactly blow out Strawn, even with the elephant in the room.Rcblank85":3twbxl2v said:May is in what MIGHT be the toughest dist in DI east....and they scheduled some tough teams prior to dist...Calvert, WV, and Throckmorton. Which has helped them more than hurt them overall. So for DI it's May for the Beast of the East.....and I agree RS is definately a Beast of a Team...they have made that a tradition not a fad. That's a tribute to their school, coaches, students and fans...
