Rigdon????

I think any kid from any level of high school being offered a chance to keep playing a game they love AND receive a free education from the next levels is freaking outstanding. The number of high school kids playing football and the number of kids getting scholarships is drastically different. I forget I’m sure someone will look it up but it’s something like one miliion high school football players across the nation and only 81k play at any college level. That drops to like 2k including practice squads playing pro football. So yea I’d say a kid from lowest level of high school football in Texas signing any D1 scholarship is worth the recognition. Now back to sixman.

Regarding the subject of this thread see # 9 in this article. I know it's all 11 man but a good read anyway. Some high scoring OT games. The guy from Desoto in #2 tied his personal record of 4 TD's, one less than GR, broke Byron Hanspards school yardage record, and is committed to A & M.

It's awesome to see that he is getting the recognition he deserves. I feel like a lot of these colleges had him on the radar but wanted to see what he could do in 11man first. Which is sad to me because you can tell when someone is talented no matter what classification they are in. I know he is committed to NC State right now, but I feel once the season is over, he will more than likely get a few power 4 Texas schools to offer. Wherever he ends up I hope he does well, because this will open up the door for 6man athletes that can play at the highest level!

Not to be rude or anything but I mean come on it's NC State but then again Grayson did carry Benjamin even though Keagan Hayes helped a bit as well to 2 state championships and won
Did YOU play college sports? Did your clock start and play college ball at ANY university? If you’re a Keyboard Cowboy talking down bout a HS kids career path, I’m seriously doubtful.

Thank you for saying this! And going by today's score, they sure did miss him. Any sixman team would love to have a D1 power 4 caliber player on their team. Today is proof

And? It is still a team in one of the four biggest conferences in college football. I guess he should've asked your opinion first?

And since it supposedly isn't a big deal, please let me know the last time a Texas six man player committed to a power four team.
If you would've noticed then I also said that he carried Benjamin with a help of the Hayes to win 2 state championships and now Benjamin is out of them so I guess that Rigdon was the key player

I would say that first year at Benjamin, they had a good group of athletes. Particularly Brody White and Talon Hayes. Keegan was an 8th grader that year. Get your facts straight.

And yes it was obvious who the most talented player was on the field. The D1 commit. So yes you "guess" he was the key player. I mean when you are player of the year for 3 years, it's kind of obvious right?

Alright so yes it is obvious and yes I guess that he was the key player with the help of Brody White and Tallon and also maybe Keegan as well actually he was the key player and I am pretty sure that at Columbus they're undefeated

After watching Gordon-Jonesboro in the second quarter, starting at 6:00 I switched to the Columbus game as it started. GR had over 100 yds in the 1st q. He also scored on a 40 yd TD in there or early 2nd q.
I went to pee. Bounced his head on the turf they said. Listened into the 2nd half. He didn't come back in the 3rd q. Hope he's ok for his sake and that of his family he needs to provide for.

Hopefully he is alright and will be able to play this coming Friday. I saw that he got an offer from Houston, I wonder if the other power 4 Texas schools will offer soon?
