Tapps favs so far?

Posed in another thread but thought I’d make it its own…

Any thoughts on who’s emerging as favorites in the tapps divisions? Lots of teams moved up in the latest realignment, and difficult to take too much from rankings this early in the season. Curious who the favorites are, if there are any.

D2 is very interesting with Lucas, Prestonwood North, Decatur Victory, Nazarene and Covenant Classical all super strong and evenly matched and thats just the North. D3 looks like it's Fredericksburg Heritage and Wichita Christian as the front runners. Word out of Wichita is they are loaded which their scores reflect

I’d think Longview Heritage would be in that convo as well. Not sure what they brought back tho.

Any sleepers out there?
DII Dist 3 is looking like it will come down to the Week 10 matchup between Lucas Christian and Rockwall Heritage. Lucas is 4-1, 1-0 with their only loss coming to Milford by 7. Heritage is off to their best start since 2016 at 6-0, 1-0 after beating Wylie Prep last week.

I watched a lot of the Milford game in person. The QB for Lucas looked good.

Based on a lot of scoreboard watching, looks like some separation at the top…

DI stand outs to me so far are Pasadena, Emory Weiner, and Prince of Peace

DII is loaded and crowded. Very difficult to differentiate these teams. Have to put Covenant at the top for me, I guess Crowley and Lucas as well. I don’t know much about those teams tho.

DIII seems to be 3 teams than everyone else. Wichita, Freddy, and Longview heritage. Wichita has the more impressive wins, but Freddy and Longview have been there done that. I don’t see another difficult game on Freddy or Longview’s schedule. Wichita has a tough one against prince of peace this week.

Am I missing anyone?

D2 has Prestonwood North and Decatur Victory that can knock off anybody on any given day

I’ll post my round ones later in the week I’m watching some film first.

I will say I noticed that 3 of the teams that moved this yr from D3 (Prestonwood, Nazarene, Rockwall Hertitage) won their respective districts in D2

I don’t know much about many of the teams, since I’m new to six man. Football. But my sons team has played Pasadena First Baptist, Emery Wiener, and Alpha Omega in the last two years. I could easily see a combination of those teams winning D1 and D2. Emery Wiener looked really good this year, so I’ll lean them in D1 to repeat.

D3 is best guess as well, but I’m a little more familiar. I’m totally ignorant on the northern teams, so I’ll just skip them. I’m really interested in St Joe’s and Hill Country, that should be a great game. I’m gonna go St Joe’s. Freddy should win. I think Brazosport will get revenge against Bellville Faith Academy. First game was close and I think Brazosport will have a chip on their shoulder. Divine Savior should win, Covenent Prep is new to six man so that scares me a little. Based on a few videos they have good speed on offense but their defense is a bit suspect. DSA will gladly run it 100 times, eat the clock, and keep their offense on the sideline.

There are at least two teams from the North that merit consideration. Lubbock Kingdom Prep has only 1 loss to Div.II Abilene Christian by 1 point. They have run ruled most if not all of their other games. Then there is Wichita Christian who remains undefeated and has also run ruled nearly every team they have played. It is a shame these two will have to meet in the second round game. Either of those teams could well win the State Championship and the other has to hang up the pads after the second round.
