Rigdon????

Woah, woah, woah, let's back up here. I thought the part about time to wake up and go to bed would let people know I was being sarcastic. As in say I fell asleep in the easy chair and dreamed this. I guess those stat's are not impossible, likely not state records. But that would be an incredible game for any 11 man back. I was kidding.
Maybe partly in frustration. Strawn had a bye last week. So, I was going to listen to this game as I have parts of some others on radio station KLUM out of Columbus. I was out of town and could not find it on my phone, got my wife to try, nada.
Another aspect of my frustration is my own ineptness with modern technology. E.G., I don't text much, the keyboard is just too small, I get ah, frustrated hitting other keys by accident. I also don't do X, or, formerly twitter, which brings us to this point. Someone here posted updates a couple of times by GR himself on his X account of his stats after other games. I looked, all I can find are 2023 basketball reports.
DCTF did a mid-season mention on him and his stats. I have to wonder if this games stat's are not out there somewhere and I just can't find them.
I think the Columbus paper comes out tomorrow and I have one free article left.
I'll go back to strictly sixman for now, Strawn starts district Friday. I think they'll win it.
No more kidding about GR's stat's, promise.

If it makes you feel better, not everyone missed that you were joking.

I knew you were joking.
Grayson Rigdon 10 carries 113 yards 2 touchdowns from the from the Colorado County Citizen newspaper. For the first 7 games that would make 80 carries 1281 yards 22 touchdowns to go along with 13 receptions for 143 yards and 3 touchdowns. Also, punts of 50 and 64 yards.

Thanks. I can save my one free article left. I just looked. It's $1.99 for a one-day subscription, I may look in that way over the next few weeks. I'm interested in his stat's, something that intrigues me about football in general. I wonder how this will all play out. How it will affect where he goes to college.
Currently he's averaging 16 ypc, 183 ypg rushing. 3 TD's pg, 203 total ypg w/passing.
That projects to 2003 ypg in a 10 game season, 30 TD's, 1830 yds rushing.
In a possible 15 game season that's 3045 total yds, 45 TD's, 2745 yds rushing.
Can he keep it up? Will he get the opportunity? More on that later. His # of carries has gone down the last couple of games. Like sixman, he's not playing full games. Could they go up in the playoff's?

Tomorrow’s Columbus game should be a solid challenge. They’re playing Hitchcock, who’s ranked #5 3A DI, for what should be the district crown. Game will be streamed on Texan Live and NFHS for anyone interested.

DCTF had a good article on this game.

Well, fudge. I'm not a subscriber so I can't read it. I'll be in Strawn tonight, probably not home before this one's over. If anyone listens in or hears anything about this game and has time to post about how it comes out, I'd appreciate reading about it, maybe a few others too.

Chaka got hurt, what looked to be a leg injury, about mid 1Q and, as of start of 3Q, has not been back. Prayers that he is ok and it’s nothing serious.

Yes, Prayers for sure. I did catch the end of the game, but they never said what type of injury or how severe it might be, even in the brief post-game. Just that it did set a record, he didn't get to play much in the first loss of his high school career.
Strawn was over at the half (56-0). Even with getting to talk to Coach Lee for 3-4 minutes after the game I got home in time to catch the end of this game.
I think GR's injury may have affected the outcome. Both the loss of his potential production in the game, and maybe a let down by his teammates.
It was one heck of a game. They said Columbus lead 14-13 at the half. When I tuned in Hitchcock just went up 30-14 late in the 4th Q for a 16 point lead. With 5 minutes left Columbus drove down and scored, went for 2 and made it. They held Hitchcock on 4th and 2. Scored again w/under a minute left, made the 2 points again. OT. Hitchcock drove down and scored, up 37-30. Columbus 4th and 24. Schobel throws another TD! They go for 2 again to win it, on target, DB tips it. 37-36.
