Some school have three or four and still try to hire more……guess it depends on what matters most

If a head coach is smart he will give instructions to his offensive and defensive coordinator and oversee the entire program so 3 is good but a 4th and 5th can be added to help out depending on number of kids.

A lot of sixman schools only have 2 coaches. While I think 3 is pretty standard, I can only think of a few with 4 and none, off the top of my head, with 5.

A lot of sixman schools only have 2 coaches. While I think 3 is pretty standard, I can only think of a few with 4 and none, off the top of my head, with 5.

I will venture to say that most any mid-sized Sixman school with only two coaches to cover every sport, boys and girls and PE, will be a non-contender. IMO
I have seen a school with that situation make both football and basketball playoffs, but the coaches were worked to a nub.
