Since TAPPS combined Division 2 and 3 will they still do a points system? I would think with over 40 teams and 8 districts take top 3 out of each district so top 24 teams in the playoffs. Any word on this?

I don't believe that TAPPS has made any formal announcement, but my expectation that with 8 districts they will maintain the 16 team playoff field. Therefore, the top two teams from each district will make the playoffs.
I hope every district has put in place some definite tie-breakers (head-to-head, point differential, etc.) BEFORE the season starts, because we could end up with a number of ties that would determine playoff seeding or who makes the playoffs. And coin flips should be the LAST (and a few steps down the line) determinant.
