to be honest, I am not sure of anyone outside of ESPN agrees that removing an Asian-American named Robert Lee from a broadcast was a good idea...

and ESPN is a known conservative entity for the most part.

????

Not the last couple of years at least. Unless you define conservative as slightly to the right of Lenin, Stalin, Mao, and Gramsci...

Old Bearkat ... Remember that our good friend Granger lives in the Peoples Grand and Glorious Republic of Austin/Travis County. I believe it is against the law to be breathing while Republican in that area. And I think Lenin is considered part of the Tea Party crowd by those in Austin.

As I say, Texas does need that border wall. On our northern, eastern, and western sides. With a cattle guard around Austin to keep the liberals corralled.

OK, they are not as conservative as you guys want, but more conservative that they used to be. Seriously.

I think you guys confuse liberal with young and somewhat urban. (which are not necessarily liberal)

ESPN is not liberal, that's just a weak argument and untrue. Just because you don't agree with it, doesn't make it liberal. They are an entity that is trying to make money. They cater to anything that does that for them...

So I guess that would make ESPN liberal capitalists...............
I really don't care one way or the other...... haven't watched espn or any other network "news shows" in years......other than select football games with the sound off........

more liberal since the days of Olbermann?

Olberman - who has blocked me on twitter, btw - was an outlier 20-25 years ago, and kept his politics reasonably in check until he made his move to cable news. He's been fired from just about every job he's had since the turn of the century - particularly since 2011.

Used to, ESPN was less about the E and more about the S. Anecdotally, ESPN thinking it needed to inject politics and social justice into what used to be an escape from such things is one of the main reasons I cut the cable over two years ago. I've watched one NFL game and maybe 2-3 college football games since then.

People just want to watch a ballgame, and maybe the top ten plays of the day without being reminded that the rest of society is going to hell in a handbasket.

Sarcasm?.......Here on the authoritative forum for Sixman Football?........ Surely you jest...........

...... and don't call me Shirley.......

Didn't ESPN have Rush Limbaugh as a NFL commentator a few years ago? That being said the recent ESPN talk show host, Jamelle Hill calling the president a white supremacist didn't help their image any, even if ESPN said that they didn't agree with her statement. Imagine if that was a white talk show host that called Obama something similar. He'd have been fired on the spot.
