Helmet Designs and Changes

First off, I love browsing through the TX HS Football Helmet Project website from 5A all the way down to our beloved six man ball.

I have noticed that since 2007 when the website started that most six man teams have changed their helmets every second year or so. Most of the designs follow the trends set by major colleges but my question is, are there any programs out there that have only had one design for the last 20-30 years? My own high school in northern Canada has had the same design since 1970... it's Canadian rules football so it's not like they some iconic team but they are and always have been the powerhouse program in the city.

So, any six man school had the same design since say 1995?

I think Throckmorton has remained the same.

T-Rock has changed in the past 5 years... it's good question because I haven't seen a single team that has stayed the same.

I've seen quite a few Throckmorton games in the last 8 or 9 years and really don't notice uniform or helmet changes. ..........

I wasn't doubting that there had been changes, just saying that I don't notice changes in uniforms......

smokey, yes I'm sure you are correct. Their uniforms haven't changed much but their helmets have...

loveofgame: I thought so too but there was a slight change with the addition of the "P" ...

What about May? They have had those classic white unis quite a while and all remember is the "M" on the side of helmet.
Never mind, they too changed theirs up.

Well according to the site, Richland Springs had the same helmet from 07-13 & Oglesby hasn't changed since 2010.
I'm pretty sure Richland Springs has gone to a chrome paint helmet now.

Most changes are like a dog
marking their territory.
Same with buying new uni's.

Unfortunately, the Helmet Project website has stopped updating. Too bad, because it was very useful for us on TV, just grabbing a helmet and not having to have our graphics guy spend all week updating helmets every year.
