Future Changes (Suggestions Welcome) 2023-24 Edition

I'm thinking in the pickem area.
Where we can pick district winner and 2nd in each district. Then fill out all the way through state.
And have to be completed before the 1st district game.

This is something I've thought about, but not something I've had time to do just yet. I think it could be a lot of fun, but it's not likely I have time to do it before the playoffs this year. For now, the pick 'em will have to do, unless someone else puts something together.

Few more small little tweaks today.

First off, I've added mover icons on the ranking pages that will show if a team moved up, or down, as compared to the previous week.

I also added each team's league (or division) ranking in the team rank/rating block on team pages. If you're on a desktop, or other wide screen device, this will be in the right sidebar. If you're using a device with a narrow screen this will be near the bottom of the page.

One thing I've already noticed with the new combined scores page, is that recent scores need to be at the top. So, starting next week I'm going to try to make it so that Friday's scores will appear above the Thursday scores on Friday night. I'm not a fan of having to scroll through all the Thursday scores, that I've already seen, to see final scores from tonight.

I like the mover icons.
Can you have an icon each week? To see week by week movement?

Small change with the scores page. Next week I'm going to try listing all games on the scores page, even games we don't have scores for. That way every game we have scheduled can be found using the quick-search, even if we don't already have a score for that game.

Hopefully this will make it easier for folks to figure out how to submit their team's score. If you only want to see a list of scores we need each week, simply type "needed" into the quick-search box and it'll only show games we don't have scores for yet.

Also, I've made a small change to the team standings pages. I've added the team's overall, league (division), and district rank into the top block, below the records, so that you don't have to scroll all the way down on mobile devices just to find that info.

I enjoy the pick em’. I will more than likely participate no matter what, but after the season is complete maybe people could weigh in on likes and dislikes and find a most popular method. I will start, again I will participate no matter what but the 30 games each week to me was already a bit much, great the first few weeks but became a chore as season progressed. But I’m no quitter so I made my selections….lol. Anyway I would like to see a separation of public and private. I for one could then just focus on my interest which is UIL six man games. Maybe top 10 games from D1 and top 10 from D2 each week. Nothing against private schools just too many factors and unknowns for me to truly form any idea of best probable team. Just my 2 cents. Thanks for having it Mike.

Just wanted to get this into here so I won't forget about it during the off-season.
