That's a stretch for a comparison ....

O.J. was acquitted due to the incompetence of the prosecution. Remember Johnny Cochran's famous quote, "If it doesn't fit, you must acquit", after the prosecution had O.J. try on a shrunken leather glove.

Maybe you should just don a Skirt and Sweater, purchase some pom pom's, grab some butcher paper / make signs and go down to the courthouse and cheer for the prosecution.

Do you watch a lot of Reality T.V. ??
 
Now that JAFO has once again shown everyone how upright and righteous he is, I want to ask a real question.

I would want contact between a teacher up on felony drug charges and my kids to be very limited, until the situation is resolved. I would think an administration and school board would have liability issues if they allowed a teacher charged with felony drug crimes to stay in contact with kids. But, if the teacher is cleared of the charges, they're in a bad spot if they let him go.

What is a schoolboard and administration legally allowed to do? Are they legally allowed to fire a man outright based solely on charges filed? Are they just allowed to reassign him to a position that doesn't involve much, if any contact with the kids? I can't imagine just paying a salary to a guy to do nothing in these times of tight budgets, how does a district afford that?
 
Texas is a right to hire, right to fire state. Can fire at will.

It will come down to other concerns. Morality, community, responsility.ect

is there a teachers union????

No Union. Only legal respresentation through TEA and by being a dues paying member of a Teacher's Organization.
 
I'm not sure their better than the Telecom union, and the telecom union sucked. Took dues from 5000 thousand temp employees, knowing they didnt have a leg to stand on when it came to reprsenting any of them.

at that point, a stong back and prayin is all you got.

Coach is a pretty good friend of mine and like i said before i came from a place that wasnt so nice in growing up and seen lots and i mean lots of bad in this same situation along with some being close in my family. This being said i kinda know how one acts, carries himself. he is far from these accusations.

yes he is a friend and i stick behind my friends. JAFO if i knew you and we were friends i would do the same for you but with your comments you have stated i am proud to say you are not one of my friends. like Doc Holiday said when cactus jack said to him why do you do this because wyatt is my friend, CJ hell i have many friends, DH well i dont.
 
I treat my friends a little diffrent because I don't do well with stupid people. So I tell them right before we hit the bar, if you get picked on I'll back ya up. If you start it, your on your own.

It is a moral/ethical issue. Nothing more, nothing less. If we were talking about a man up on Child Porn charges or Molestation charges (and WE ARE NOT, just to be clear) No one would be saying give him a chance to continue in the school until he has his day in court.
If Coach Grimes is cleared of these charges, I would be the first to say GIVE THE MAN BACK HIS JOB! But until that time, his access to these CHILDREN should be extremely limited.

Sir, I understand there are some friends of Coach Grimes who are soliciting and have contributed towards his legal expenses. From those who know him well (and some of us who don't know him well, but have worked with him in the past), this sounds totally out of line with the man we know. Yes, it's true some people are able to hide a secret life from others -- including close friends -- and this may or may not be the case here.

Obviously, the prosecution is not willing to try this case publicly. The truth will come out at the appropriate time. If the facts and the verdict is guilty, there will be a number of us saddened to see that turn of events -- and realize that he will have earned the punishment of the court. If he's found not guilty, I hope there will be some way he can get his reputation back.

And yes, until these charges are cleared, I would not want anyone in a similiar situation in a classroom setting.
 
Well... apparently what anyone on this board might/or might not do is none ya dam bidness. Sharing every aspect of my life with you just aint happening.
 
Guys, again Coach Grimes didnt get arrested for dealing drugs. The indictment came from him receiving a call from the feds that is a recorded phone call to open the door to the house to allow some guys to get all of the belongings out and put into storage. Coach went to open door (entrapment) the guys went in and moved the belongings to storage. After that the two that went into the house were arrested.

like i said before, it will take time but the truth will come out. so those that have supported him Again thank you..

I don't know if Coach Grimes is guilty or innocent of anything; I tend to be skeptical and cynical myself.

But you are a good friend, and I hope that Coach Grimes is found innocent for your sake as much as his. If I were ever in trouble I would want someone just like you in my corner. Here's hoping this unpleasant situation resolves itself quickly and with a positive outcome.
 
Nicely put Sissy.. in the meantime I need you to disclose any contributions to an individual/group/orginization or cause so I can substantiate if you're truly a friend or not. (only those transactions for the last 60 monthsare necessary)

Just curious here as to if you know if one of the two moving the belongings was his brother ???

Was this his house he allowed the guys to come into ?
