Does anyone have a 1991 Aquilla Annual? Im looking for the district scores.

Im looking to see if Bynum beat Aquilla 48-6 like I found in the paper. LSFN doesnt have it.

October 30, 1942 article on Copperas Cove game the week before and the upcoming game with Ireland.

Ireland also used to be in District 16C with Gustine. Alexander, Tolar, and Glen Rose in 1938. This was a small school 11 man district. The Comanche Paper has been a gold mine.

Im looking for the 3rd team that Aquilla beat to force the 3 way tie. The only other way I can see them going to the playoffs that year would be a disqualification on Bynum that year, but I haven't seen nothing of the sort in the papers. That could have given Aquilla the win over Bynum. Tieing with buckholts at 3-2 in district. Only thing I can remember is 2nd place came down to a coin flip.

One year someone had used ineligible players or something out that way and had to forfeit games that they won...but heck I could be remembering something I read from the 1980s...I am thinking of a season in the 1980s...how Walnut Springs got into the Zone Playoff game...nevermind

Ok I did find that they beat Bynum 72-52

They finished in a 3 way tie for the playoff spot with Buckholts and Bynum
Aquilla won their last two games of the regular season

The one I have shows Bynum 46 Aquilla 6.

OBK says the article I found might have been fore thought, but I think the writer was just adding his .02 on top of the scores. Doesn't mean it wasn't wrong all together either. Just like to see it.

Actually after reading more, I think some are Jr High Games.

we know that...

Aquilla was 4-6 in the regular season having won their last two game

Aquilla's district was: Abbott, Aquilla, Bosqueville, Buckholts, Bynum, Oglesby

There was a three way tie with Buckholts and Bynum and Aquilla

Aquilla's last District game was on 11/8 against Oglesby...a 34-30 come back win via the Gatesville Newspaper which for some reason Lonestar has the score wrong...

Therefore...

lonestar must have the wrong score for the Bynum game played on 10-11...as if you back track for 5 weeks starting from 11-8...the last district game...Aquilla's district schedule would shape up like this (assuming that lonestar has the right dates of the game played...which seeing how there are at least 2 mistakes for Aquilla already in this season on the website is a bit of a leap of faith at this point)

11-8: Aquilla 34 Oglesby 30
11-1: Aquilla win over Abbott
10-25: Bosquville 62 Aquilla 33
10-18: Buckholts 38 Aquilla 31
10-11: Aquilla 72 Bynum 52


Those 3 district wins plus the win over Morgan would be Aquilla's 4 wins

A quick check reveals that that Gatesville newspaper article that has Bynum beating Aquilla was from the Thursday 10-10 paper...so it is that writer's weekly pickem article and not the socres of the games (games played on Friday the 11th)
