When a discussion came up on the old history thread about Oklaunion, there was a guy on here who had gone to either Oklaunion or Harrold who talked quite a bit about both schools. When Okalunion hit the wall on enrolment and had to merge with another district. There was a proposal to consolidate with Harrold. Evidentally, both schools were bitter rivals and almost no one in Oklaunion wanted to consolidate with Harrold and they voted to merge with Vernon.

Years later, most regretted that decision and he did state that if it could be re-voted, they' probably go over to Harrold this time.

in the 1939 Official Six-Man Football Guide, there is this written:

"The University of Minnesota, Iowa State, and other colleges had intramural six-man. A number of colleges in Maine, Iowa and other states played intercollegiate six-man football."

So there you go...intercollegiate six-man football
