I'll be the sucker to throw myself to the wolves. Looking for something for everyone to debate and tear apart. Just remember, this list is just for recreational use only. I have no background in rankings, but thought it would be fun to see thoughts and discussions. Maybe we'll get a good list finalized at the end of this thread.

Alright, tear it up!

I guess you mean 2014? I usually pick my top 10 the year following the season but don't get a lot of support for those prognostications................

Now that everything is straightened out I'll comment on your picks; In D2 I kinda expect Richland Springs to be much stronger this year and would move them up a few slots. One year of experience and maturity makes a big difference. Seems like a lot of people didnt realize how young that team was..........

Yep RS had babies last year, tough ones but young uns none the least. There should be a grand show this year, or I can say that's what I'm hoping for. Like Smokey said move RS up a couple more notches Coach Satcher, I agree.

D I Strawn will probably be picked over May in district, Water Valley should be in the top five. Besides twicking the order, your top ten looks good.

In the D II, GR and Follett both lost most of their starters, would put them more like 9 and 10. Again, the ones you have in the top ten look good. I would just change the order.

I respectfully disagree with Strawn being picked over May. May has at least 8 seniors this year who could have stepped in and replaced any player from last years team without missing a beat. And May also has a strong Junior class. May will be hard to beat whether playing the varsity squad or JV. Last years JV squad only had one loss.

I'm hesitant to move them up too far, as I have them behind Calvert on purpose. Calvert beat them in the playoffs last year, and return almost their entire team as well. This will be Calverts second year under Coach Wortham, who is constantly growing as a football coach. If I predict Calvert to be better than last year, then I have to believe they'll stay in front of Richland Springs.

If things play out as predicted and both stay healthy the Strawn-May game on 10/17 in Strawn could be one of the biggest and potentially best of the regular season. Ya never know though.

Cowboy, you mentioned Blum, and Zephyr could have an arguement for being in the top ten too. The problem becomes who do you kick out of the top ten. I don't have a good answer there either.

You know Satcher, poking a stick at Cowboy might be as unhealthy as poking a stick at a cornered wolverine! Dropping Aquilla out of the top ten. You are living on the edge.

Nah, it's more like poking that old dog on the other side of a 10 ft fence. Kinda fun to see it get all worked up........

Nah... I was just taking his advice.
