Strawn vs Richland springs the game we all wanted

Rigdon couldn't handle 11man so they move back to sixman. Not any sixman school. To Strawn (RS toughest opponent year in and year out). Obviously to beat RS. My question is, if Strawn wins will it be because of the Rigdon kids? Or will it just be another Lee/Burkhart classic with Lee pulling out the win?
IF Strawn wins it will be because in part they are senior heavy. 9 experienced seniors. They almost beat RS last year with 8 of them, 7 of whom have been in the program for years. Having a 10' tall Parsons helped immensely. The prior all state new Sr Chase and his little brother might help.

I'm obviously a MC fan. To be the best you have to beat the best and I believe the best in D2 wears red and black! IMO Dec 15th will probably have a 100% chance of a school that reps red black to win it all!!

I can't go there at this time. MC is a break on my backway shouldn't disclose it little - no traffic way to Colorado. Jake Richards is the most prolific back in terms of yardage in a season in State History. Likely RS or SHS will face a formidable task. All teams have to focus on this weeks opponent.

Does it still count as red and black if Strawn wears those white helmets jimmy boy hates??

This kinda has that feel when the news breaks in with a big car chase from an armed and dangerous criminal and they keep showing it for hours and it ends with a big fat dud. The guy comes out with his hands up and it’s over before it was really started.

…but then again, it kinda feels like it could turn into a gridiron remake of the Rocky IV war!

All I know, if RS can pull off the upset, this site may crash!

Who's jimmy boy? White hat's = good guys. Not black hat bad asses. Bunch of wimps, huh?
Well jimmy boy is slang really. For a person that needs permission from another to do something.I think you and I both know. But to be honest I don’t know what the rest of your comment is about black hat bad asses and wimps?.? I’m not sure where that came from. Got you all fired up. No need for profanity sir.

Rigdon's freshman son is, according to some on this site, "the next Tyler Ethridge,"
As far as my observations, knowing and watching Chaca and Tyler as Freshmen, Chaca is already better than Tyler was at this point of their Freshman year. Why they put him in Sixman for this year is a mystery to me. He is already bigger than Tyler was and will more than likely grow a lot in the next three years. If he were in a good 5-A or 6-A program and making the A&M and UT camps, man, he would be able to take his pick anywhere in the country after graduation, and rake in some really big bucks! (because I saw a really good Sixman player rejected from Slocum’s A&M program years ago for not playing 11 man, and not attending their camps) He has a future for sure if his cards are played right.

To be totally honest, this isn't the Slocum era. Times have changed. With the technology and social media today, if you got the goods, you will get found. The days of blaming "small school" football for not getting recruited are over, IMO. Just an excuse...

Johnny I’m sure you are hoping they listen to you huh?? You could care less about that kid or the family. That was obvious when they were in RS, your real reason is that you know RS won’t be back to Jerry’s world for next three years after this year with that kid in Strawn! Yes he’s talented and will play next level but not before he destroys the coyotes that treated his family like garbage.

Go hounds!!!

So JB couldn't handle 11man? He went to be the AD at a school who has won maybe 10 total games combined in at least 8 seasons before him. Rigdon was an assistant at a competitive 11 man school. Both left and went back to sixman. We know the real reason JB left (his son leaving for threats)(police records for proof) and went to Rankin, but why did Rigdon leave to Strawn? And next three years???? Rumor is Aledo is the next stop for the freshman. Chasing rings!!!
Looks like you are the rumor mill or just being a comedian? And you know this how? I'm sure that Coach Buchanan could use some more talent but the talent that really counts is grown over in the South Oak Cliff area of Dallas. Aledo just played and lost to a SOC team that has players as big as most college teams. Aledo is always good but big talented athletes trumps medium sized athletes most of the time. Appears that a job for Coach Rigdon is the determining factor where the family lives.

So true, he is in Strawn cause they hired him not in Rs cause they fired him or forced him into hiding while they used his kids, whichever is the truth

My father was raised in the RS area. I've had property in RS for 4+ years. Lived here full time for less than that. I do not hang out in the gossip circle, so I don't have juicy stories like this. What I heard, from a former student that did some work at my property, was that the role that Rigdon wanted was not what the school wanted him to have. Being head coach was not enough for him. Fair enough. So, they parted ways. I'm sure there was some hurt feelings as there is in any "break up". However, I am unaware of any threats in either direction. As I have gotten to know these people here, that seems highly unlikely. These are true Texas folks here. People that work hard, have good values, love their country / state and of course football is big part of their lives. As in any community, not everyone is perfect. But "threats" and "forcing into hiding" and "using his kids"? No, I don't believe that for a second.

As a RS fan, I wish Rigdon good luck this week. RS will bring their best. And that's a lot. Even in a rebuilding year. I can't wait to see the play calling in this game.

Your very very mistaken

For some reason, (probably the green stuff), San Saba Radio did not live stream any Richland Springs games this season. The State game will be on one of the ESPN TV stations, or at least it has been the last two years. To watch RS and Strawn, you may have to go to YouTube and pay one of those weird streaming sites that come from the twilight zone and show up on youtube.

Do you have anything other than an opinion or hearsay? I understand people are funny and can do stupid things from time to time (like make threats, etc., especially where emotions are running high). Myself included. But frankly, it strains credibility to make such an accusation without something concrete.

RS is a great little town with terrific people ... with the best six man football team of all time. That's not conjecture, arrogance or hearsay. That's concrete, provable fact. How long will RS be on top? Idk. But I sure enjoy watching them play. Out of 9 championships, Rigdon was HC for 1. So, all the hub-bub about him being run out of town and being the best coach ever and RS is nothing without him, is poppy-cock until I see something concrete. The best way to right a wrong in this business is to win. He can start by winning Friday night. I'm looking forward to many good matchups between Strawn and RS. A new rivalry is always great.

I believe that RS will win this Friday by 8. And the play calling (since these 2 coaches know each other well) is going to be epic. New plays / tricks. Friday cannot get here fast enough.

A new rivalry? I think that started with this game. The best game ever. Even Gordon Wood commented on what an amazing game he was seeing, at half time, in his own stadium. The 08 matchup would be a close second for me.

Nobody cares about facts anymore so I’ll shift focus back to the game we have all been waiting for…

Hounds by 24 or more

Grayson Rigdon Will be best player on the field for either Team!
