If he had gone ahead and stayed with NC State or any other Div I school, he would probably have been redshirted. I looked at NC State's recruiting list and they were recruiting 7 RBs ranked ahead of him and 11 altogether. He is ranked as the #78 RB. NC State signed the #21 RB and have several RBs returning from this years team. And, there are a lot of RBs in the transfer portal already. The transfer portal is crazy, 142 RBs entered so far.

Related, though, did Rigdon ever lose a game before this year? He might have the winning %age record. Wilder lost 3, so 61 wins of 64. Mitch Enright from Southlake Carroll is another candidate here, he went 15, 16, 16, 16, and only lost 2 I believe.

Last HS game. In his fourth state champion ship game at Jerry World. From sixman to DI. pretty incredible no matter what happens tonight. What a long, strange trip it's been.

Yes, he missed the last 2 district games, and he is 44-0 in sixman because in 2022 Benjamin only played 14 games. It shows this on both the Benjamin archives and MaxPreps. So, including today's game that would be 58 games. Regardless, the young man has had a phenomenal 4 years in high school. I hope he has a great game in the 3A DI championship game.
