Realignment Day!

Its the magical day where the UIL lets you know that the mystical formula for throwing darts at at map to determine which teams will be playing each other for the next two years. Good luck to all and lets see how this all shakes out.

This realignment is crazy! Crowell is usually a region 3 team along with several teams in their district, but now they’re region 1 in D1! Wow! I do like some matchups in the new districts that I see just as a fan of the game, but I don’t know if coaches enjoy this too much.

Wow a 3 team district!!

If I were the three team district, I'd do a home-and-home each season so you at least have four district games. It would be a pain to have 8 non-district games and only 2 at the end (when you hope you'll be still healthy enough) that mean playoffs or not.

Week 1-5 Non District
Week 6 1 at 2, 3 bye
Week 7 3 at 1, 2 bye
Week 8 2 at 3, 1 bye
Week 9 2 at 1, 3 bye
Week 10 1 at 3, 2 bye
Week 11 3 at 2, 1 bye

Actually,
I've always thought a home and away
each year
would simplify scheduling
and validate
all district games.
