Best 6-Man Passers of all Time

According to what was turned in to the UIL and what the official UIL stats for the state game was...Brown had 1673 yards passing for the season (everything else you posted is correct)

The correct 2014 stats for Patrick Tillis - Loraine - passing is:
69-149 for 1059 yards 17 TDs and 7 INTs

The stats that are up on the coaches' association website for Loraine are totals including the two games Loraine played as a JV team (against Westbrook JV and Ira JV) so the stats for those games need to be subtracted to give you the correct varsity only stat line.

(PS: Tillis' correct rushing varsity stat line for 2014 is 221-2751 yards, 49 TDs)

Leman - I can vouch this numbers. We kept very meticulous records. These were both live and verified via video stats,

His Team,

Can you please look back in those records and see if you can find how many interceptions he had? That component is vital to this analysis.

Thanks

I am trying to track down those stats from a former coach from there.

hahahahaha

Well, who do I need to throw under the bus for taking that yard away from Lanham?

The number I gave you is from our stat program. It doesn't matter as far as I am concerned, but for the record, I AM RIGHT !

hahahahahahaha

Thanks

But are you sure? LOL
I do however, find it rather amusing that you felt the need to add that Lanham Brown was from Throckmorton. Being as Boys2Men is kinda related to him.

EJ Rodriquez - Grady

Jr Year -
82 comp - 163 atts - 4 ints - 1610 yds - 25 td

Sr Year -
75 comp - 134 atts - 3 ints - 1163 yds - 16 tds

that added to his rushing

Jr Year -
167 atts for 1732 yds - 26 tds

Sr. Year -
177 atts for 1774 yds and 32 tds

Dual threat.

Dont have his sophomore year stats on hand but was a three year starter at spread back. So those stats for that year will be comparable!

Well for the sake of argument...if you are right then Throckmorton turned in the wrong stats for him prior to the State game (1607)...or the 3-4 person stat crew from the UIL who have been doing this for years and are extremely accurate missed one yard in their stat collecting for the state game (3-7 for 66 yards 2 tds 1 int)

...one yard is ridiculous to argue about

I digress

Not sure what you are getting at shad?

I listed lanhams stats (which came from our star program), and failed to mention he is from throckmorton. So I added that....
I don't know who boystomen is.
Maybe kinfolk, I don't know or care. All I know is that I think Lanham needs to be on this list

I agree! One yard is not something to argue about. And honestly I'm not big on stats anyway. If there is no time to throw the ball, or no lanes for running through there would be no good stats to talk about. And while I'm on it, what about a team like ours this year, where the ball was spread around so much? We had two guys throw for a pile of yards and touchdowns, two guys rushed for a bunch of yards, and two guys caught a lot of passes for touchdowns. It's not something I want to argue about, or stir up any trouble over for sure.

Just giving you a hard time coach, Boys2Men is a from Throckmorton, but if you didn't know that then I can see why you would clarify. And yes, Lanham needs to be on this list.

On the other note: One yard is hardly worth a discussion, unless it is the one yard needed to set the record or something. A lot of times, the actual yardage depends on the person keeping stats. Does the statkeeper always use the nose of the ball forwarded to the next yard line in the direction that the team is driving toward? If not then there could be several discrepencies throughout the game and definitely throughout the season that could giveth or taketh away a yard or two here and there.

Lanham Brown's stats looks good and put him into the top 10. Unofficially, with what we have so far, here are 6th & 7th. We feel confident that there are a few more that will break into the top 10 if we ever get the official interception count on some of the other top passers. We skipped 8th & 9th because we are still trying to verify some stats.

NCAA Rank, NFL Rank, Comp, Att, Yards, TD, INT, NCAA QB Rating, NFL QB Rating, Name, Team, Year, Games Played
6 - 21 - 113 - 164 - 2719 - 49 - 7 - 298 - 133 Shannon Forehand Weinert 1985 - 9
7 - 8 - 80 - 123 - 1673 - 43 - 1 - 293 - 145 Lanham Brown Sr. Throckmorton 2014 - 14

We only show 9 games for Forehand, didn't he play more than that? They went to the Simi Finals. Weren't his only two loses that year to Richey & the Jaybirds? I find it amusing that some think they know who I am related to & where I live.

Should we put Tyler Ethridge in here with 6 or 7 interceptions during his Senior year stats just to see how he would rank? We don't have an official count on his yet. His Freshman year may be his best ranking of all, but we still need official INTs on all 4 of his years to know for sure.

This stats stuff is very difficult. But the process continues to be fun. Thank you to everyone for providing the stats and input. Hope yall are enjoying this too.

I poured over the stats and found two interceptions for Nicholi Maxwell this year. We actually had four, but two were thrown by my freshman QB.

If you need some help I will give the guys at the San Angelo News a call and have them email a copy of whatever they have for Tyler's 2004 - 2007 campaigns, and Jared Hicks' 2003 stats which were very impressive for someone who had never thrown in his entire football career.

Let me know.

BE,

I would really appreciate your help in digging up the stats on both of those players. The list is really coming together and having that information would be most helpful.

Thank you

Congrats to Riley Stone who breaks into the top 10 with his stats!
Nicholi Maxwell @ 14 & Tanner Richey @ 21.

Remember these are unofficial and they will change as more stats come in.

Interesting to note that 3 of these passers currently ranked from 9-21 are on the list twice.

My guess is that we will have at least 7 or 8 out of the top 30 on the list more than once when we get a few more stats in.

I would appreciate it if some of you statistics gurus would check the math to make sure that these calculations for the NCAA & NFL Ratings are correct.
