AUSTIN, Texas
— The State Executive Committee of the University Interscholastic League will convene at 9:00 a.m. Monday, August 22, via teleconference to determine the eligibility of student-athletes. It will be available Live on the UIL State Executive Committee Page.

A schedule of Monday’s hearing follows:

Hearing (AA-EE)
9:00 a.m. - AA. - Harrold High School: Appeal of District 10-1A Executive Committee Decision Regarding Eligibility of a Student-Athlete, Section 443, Changing Schools for Athletic Purposes.

9:45 a.m. -BB. - Harrold High School: Appeal of District 10-1A Executive Committee Decision Regarding Eligibility of a Student-Athlete, Section 443, Changing Schools for Athletic Purposes.

11:35 a.m. - EE - Petersburg High School: Section 1208(i)(1), Ejection from a Contest, Scotty Bruington

The State Executive Committee meeting is an open meeting, and all interested parties are welcome.

AUSTIN, TX
— The State Executive Committee of the University Interscholastic League met Monday to hand down decisions on eligibility of student-athletes and issue penalties for UIL violations.

A student-athlete from Harrold High School was granted an appeal for varsity eligibility. After hearing testimony from all parties, it was determined that this student did not change schools for athletic purposes.

Two student-athletes from Harrold High School were denied an appeal for varsity eligibility, upholding the previous ruling of the district executive committee.

Petersburg High School Head Baseball Coach Scotty Bruington was denied an appeal of an ejection from a contest. He was issued a one-year probation, a public reprimand and additional training.
