I guess that I have too much time on my hands to sit around and think. So, there are 32 districts in the UIL side on things. Of those 32, 24 are five team district. What are the odds that any of them will end in a five-way tie. Would the point system work to decide the playoff teams? Has the point system ever ended in a tie?

A three way tie for second in a four team district happened several times in the era of the byes. I believe those three teams flipped a coin, so you could flip with five teams if the points ended up in a tie.
