So who ya got?

I think I'll take my 15 year old and my brother. If he wants to go. Not sure yet.

Just messin with ya. Lol.

I'm pickin both Throck and Richland Springs to repeat. I don't think either will be close and wouldn't be surprised if one or both ended early. Abbott has some fast kids so I think that game could get on up there scorewise.

Im gonna go with Follett in a very close, down to the wire game and Throckmorton over Abbott. Abbott better be pretty physical if they want to play the whole game, Throck will just wear them down if not !!! Bring us home another State Championship Greyhounds !!!!

Abbott is prepared and healthy and they have a mission to complete.. this game will be no blowout and come down to who"s defense is good enough.. Three key players will be in this game to the end that wasnt there last year...good luck

x2!

I don't see either game ending early. Having never seen a RS game I am just going with my gut and say that Follett moves the title to the West this year.

Now,,,,,,,,I spect that the Greyhounds could end this one early but since Coach Reed is a class act he will get a comfortable lead (usually 30 points) then sub in his younger athletes to give them a taste of the Big Dance and encourage them to work hard to get back next year. He/they could have embarrased a lot of good teams this year but pulled the guns out and made the final score look like it was closer than it actually was. Throck moves the title to the side of the bracket they are on this year.

Best of luck to all four teams on saturday!!

I'm picking Richland Springs by 24 over Follett and Throckmorton by 45 over Abbott. Can you tell I was a little bit impressed by T-Rock? They are a freakin' juggernaut.

I'll be rooting for Follett (it's a West thing) but I just don't think they can beat the Coyotes.

Im ganna go with Throck on this one. There linebackers and defensive line are going to hurt abbotts running game just like it did with Water valley, Rankin, and Valley. I have seen that Abbott has had some trouble covering the pass, and if your playing Throck you know your ganna have to be able to cover the pass. I just think Throck has too many weapons to not win.
I think the game will be close at half time, Then throck will pull away in the third quarter and win by 24 when the younger kids come in the fourth.

The only way Abbott will survive against Throck is if they can throw the ball. Rankin and Valley had an awesome running game as well and it didn't work. Abbott's defense will have to have their best showing thus far. Throck's offense is close to unstoppable and I just don't see that changing.

RS with the win. It will not be easy to contain the Woods kid and this one could get exciting if Follett plays their best.
I just don't see the Throck and Abbott game being a close one.

Curious???? Why does no one give Abbott a chance to win State??? Abbott was the only team to defeat Dallas the Covenant and DTC beat both TRock and Valley????? Just Curious????????

Abbott also lost to Jonesboro, Valley beat Jonesboro, Throck beat Valley.... This could go on and on.

Agreed that people shouldnt focus much (if at all) on dallas covenant losing to abbott but beating throck, but I do think common opponents shows us more than ryry ladders throwing in an extra team. more teams ya add, more variables. I think Throck will win, but Abbott's win in Hico and Throcks loss at home to a common opponent just shows that with the top teams, anyone can win

I think ya'll are placing way too much importance on Throck's loss to Covenant... Did anybody look at anything besides the score?

I think the biggest variable was Throck's QB not playing in the DC game, from what I heard. That's huge, Oliver kid is an awesome QB. Farquhar gets most the credit but Oliver deserves just as much. He will put that football in the right place for him to catch most every time.

Everything will be settled on Sat, Im hoping for a great game though. Good luck to both teams.

i think everyone is way underestimating abbott. they didn't get to where they are for no reason, played and beat some good teams convincingly on the way.

Throck will take Abbott by around 20, close by sixman standards. Follett just does not put up enough points to hang with RS. I expect another 45 at a state game.
