SnapShot Numbers

Johnny South is thinking what is best for RS all the way down the line. Keeping the same number of schools in D I and D II is the most fair and equitable way to divide the schools. Don't look at who falls into which catagory beforehand.

These are the numbers I have and they are definitely not official (This from numbers posted on this thread). The list I have is numbers for 134 schools, The middle is 54.5 with 67 above and 67 below that number. If I include Bynum and Fort Davis the middle is 55 with 69 schools at 55 or above and 67 below. if you include Star and Benjamin the middle is 54.5.

If here any any errors feel free to correct them. Again these are unofficial.

Cut off at
55-104.9 for Div. I
54-Below for Div. II

Div 1 has 70 schools..... if no 11 man school come in.
70 schools
16 districts
4 teams / district

I believe uil div 1 had 72 schools this past year.
Some districts had 4 teams, some district had 5 teams.

I guess the MAJOR question is, WHAT 11 man school(s) will opt to play 6-man during the 2014-16 season

ARN is hinting that Bronte and Gorman are going to play six-man.... but they didn't come right out and say it.

From ARN....
CLASS A (104.9 students and below)
(This is the new Six-Man classification)
Baird * .... 95 (Div. I)
Bronte ..... 89 (Div. I)
Cross Plains * ... 88 (Div. I)
Gorman ... 78 (Div. I)
Roby * ... 72 (Div. I)
* - May opt to continue in 11-Man

I have always heard that it would be a cold day in hell before Bronte would go to sixman... I guess maybe a 2-8 season changed a few minds?

I am hearing that the community of Gorman, namely the parents of current players, are very much in favor of the switch. The hangup lies with the current coaching staff. No official ruling on it has happened as of a couple of weeks ago.
