Have to go through Alpine and Marfa to get to Valentine! Alpine is 30 miles to the west, Sanderson is 55 miles to the east, and Fort Stockton is 60 miles to the North. Wonder what kind of tax base Marathon has that would make it appealing to be consolidated by one of these school districts?
