Someone Please tell me what Crowell did that was "Dirty"? Someone who's actually been there and doesn't rely on sources. Crowell Plays HARD AND EMOTIONAL and that sometimes leads to flags but I have never seen them have the intent to play dirty. Did i not seen Crowell players helping up the bulldogs every chance they got. They've been doing that all year.
sorry im still kinda new to this whole thing about threads.
I was there, i was on the sidelines even. I saw every play, I heard everything on that field. Yes, the Crowell helped them up off the ground a few times. But that definitely does not make up for everything else I saw there. Nevermind the trashtalking, like someone said, its going to happen. And I'm not saying it was the whole team either, mind you, but there were a handful of players on Crowells team who did not play nice. Not to say that this is a nice sport, but there were many displays of unsportsmanlike conduct.
While third quarter had been coming to a close and the clock just stopped at 4 seconds left, a large amount of the players, including Ira had gathered over by Crowells sidelines, and all of a sudden, one of Ira's players had been shoved onto his back while the refs backs were turned. I watched him fall, I saw hands shove him down. Ira's players wouldn't do that to one of their own, and a coach can be removed from a game for attacking a player like that. Who's left in this equation?
As Cotton on Ira's team had been pushed out of bounds in one play, I saw the Crowell player go out of his way to rip the ball from his hands as he fell and throw it away from him, yelling "Boom, suck on that" and walking away without helping him up, high-fiving his teammates, leaving Cotton on the ground. This all happened about a few yards away from where I was standing. This was well into the fact that Ira wasn't going to win and he was being cocky and rude, and I would love to know how doing something such as that is considered playing with heart and emotion.
As well as those obvious displays of unsportsmanlike behavior, there were many uncalled examples of holding and grabbing and very rude behavior that came from Crowell, and I heard every bit of it.
Crowell is a very rough team, and the Bulldogs were in for a fight, they knew this from the beginning. Crowell is a very talented team, shown by the multiple cross-field passes thrown by the quarterback as well as their ability to breakaway from a very agile team like the Bulldogs. I will not deny that. But the way they played some of the game is not a way to be respected or celebrated. They might be going to the state championships and may very well win the trophy, but it's not without the dirt of unfair play and unsportsmanlike behavior on their hands.
It's going to be very interesting to see how Basketball season goes should the dogs and the cats play on the court.
