"Prognosticator of the Week"

Yep. I was just looking through all of our picks and didn't see any of us taking Savoy in that tilt. Nonetheless, congratulations to them on the win and the chance to play another week. Interested to see how the rest of the games play out this week...especially with this weather now upon us.

Reasons why Savoy is better than people thought
1. At the beginning of the year they had not found who would gel at QB..then a soph stepped up who started the year as the third string QB and he has steadily improved
2. Had a very talented kid move in which gave them a 3 rd good running back
3. Got schooled by Gordon last year ...learned the lesson well
4. Extremely physical...they play very tough defense lately

And yes I think the weather helped Savoy tonight by hindering Gordon's speed some, but no Question that Savoy played inspired football. Biggest win in school history.

Ten games to go today...should see some great football tonight despite the weather....

Best wishes to all...be careful...and stay warm...

I've already let it known I'm picking RS. Here is what I had to say (rankings are my own)

DII #8 Calvert (9-1) v DII #10 Richland Springs (8-1) Saturday @Hico 4:00pm
Calvert played spoiler and upset the then ranked #4 team in DII 6-man last week in Jonesboro 46-38, vaulting them into the rankings this week. Meanwhile, Richland Springs did what Richland Springs does and that is winning playoff games and beat Cherokee easily in their Bi-District game (87-20). These two schools are top teams in the East year in and year out and have a rich playoff history against each other with Richland Springs holding the all-time record at 5-1. The lone time Calvert won was the first time these schools ever played each other back in 2002 (60-57 in a six-man instant classic!) when they went on to win the State Title. In fact the only time that the winner of this game did not win the State title was back in 2003 (RS win 48-26). This team at RS is one of the smallest in numbers they have had in recent years and they are ranked the lowest they have been in almost a decade…and that makes it incredibly hard to pick against the Coyotes…I just can’t bring myself to do it…yet…I will pick Richland Springs…but might be kicking myself for it come Saturday night.

Leman I totally missed that post. Thank you for support. Whether they win or lose the Lord runs the game. No excuses. But until they play I'm hoping and wishing these little guys can go far.

Maybe we should dub this week, Procrastinators Prognostications or...
Prognosticators Prognastications Prolifically Postponed by Procastinators
