And for the record, regarding my 2pt prediction last week - what is it about "major upset" that you people do not understand? [Obviously, that was more of a fan statement. I figured that would be apparent.]

However, there was no "bias" in the championship prediction. Who was their to be biased about? If there would be any bias it certainly would not be for our district rival??? It appears to me that the ones barking bias are guilty of it themselves.

BTW, did you notice who won the championship game? Not bad, for someone who doesn't understand the game. But I digress.

Gotta tell you boys, my friend Robert has his priorties nearly right.

I'm sitting in the stands in Moody and call him at half to tell him how he is the wise sage (ie, kicking game being the difference) and we're exchanging calls throughout the last quarter and overtime.

Just before Glenview starts their overtime series, Robert tells me, "Hey, I gotta go. We play (basketball at a tournament in Victoria) in five minutes, but call me with what happens, even during my game, since it's football."

High School Football: Heritage wins TAPPS state title in overtime

MOODY — It took an overtime period, but Fredericksburg Heritage is the state champion once again in TAPPS Division II six-man football.

Ethan Beall tossed a 5-yard TD pass to Kirk Kroeger in overtime Saturday as the Eagles beat defending champion Fort Worth Glenview 36-30.

Heritage, which won consecutive titles in 2004 and 2005, didn't clinch the 2007 crown until Luke Andrews intercepted a Jesse Mills pass in the end zone during overtime.

Beall also connected with Kroeger on a 34-yard TD pass in the second quarter. Robert Ramsay added 9- and 7-yard TD runs and Kroeger had a 7-yard TD run in the third quarter for the Eagles (13-0).

Mills tossed a 24-yard TD pass to Shawn Rivera in the first quarter and found him again for a 23-yard scoring pass in the second quarter for Glenview (12-2). Taylor Gentry scored three times on runs of 33, 2 and 23 yards.
