WOW! the jerky made with T80's scorpions turned out just fine. Starts off extremely mild, gentle mesquite smoke, a semi-sweet teriyaki base and a hint of spice. Pretty much a rather bland jerky. Until you're done. seems like the after effects are seeping in, a warm tingle starts on the tongue and soon the whole mouth is feeling the heat. Not a bad heat but it's there, so eat another piece of jerky and the process starts again.

Taking a couple of pounds to the office to see if they like this better than the version I took yesterday.

Melinda said you might have a low-sodium recipe... is that even possible if you're making jerky?
According to my DSW, it is possible to make a low or even sodium free jerky. Shelf life would be diminished so you might have to freeze or refrigerate for big batches. Compensate for lack of sodium with other spices.........................

Multiple offers to buy the rest of the bag , , , multiple offers to buy , so I think they liked it better than the batch the day prior. Tonight I smoke the hickory and chili petin mixture
