Hate to get serious on Newby, but.......... I have several good friends who have recently fought the Big C.
Under Obama care I understand one of the most important tools in maintaining a cancer patient's cancer-free status will be limited.
PET scans have been routinely used in detecting cancer in early stages. Under Obama care, these scans will be restricted to 3 after cancer has first been diagnosed.
Everyone preaches Early Detection but to limit one of the most effective tools we have makes no sense.

The first step in rationing it for the unconnected and all other "little people" and "enemies of the state".
 
they did a test regarding age and life span comparing the 1950's to today did you know with all the fancy test and equipment that we have only advanced the life span of a working man is but for a couple of years....
well that's not the whole story the childhood diseases and sicknesses that have been improved so taking the mortality of children in the 1950's out of the equation for all the trillions of dollars spent on healthcare on individuals that made it past five years has advanced our lifespan but about 3 years... points to ponder hmmmmmmm

I got lucky, found mine at stage3 - 250K later I'm on the road to recovery - it took all of the 250K for medical treatment - if my boss hadn't said i was 'working from home', I couldn't have made it as easy as I did. Basicly I was drawing full pay for about 3 months when I couldn't pull a sick whore into bed. I was lucky to have a boss like that. Pet scans run about 6K each, i've had three in the last 24 months. My 10% is a hurt but I'm glad I can afford it.
 
Being Canadian, I am a big supporter of free healthcare but the way Obama is going about it is wrong. Free healthcare works incredibly well when it is implemented by an administration that truly understands what free means. Not so much under the Democrats.

NOTHING is free, someone pays, maybe not you, but someone else and the government is the least efficient organization on this planet. Sooner or later Canada and every other socialist medical plan will run out of other people's money. Europe, especially the southern nations has already hit this wall. Norway and Germany will be the last ones to hit the wall.
