I'm guessing Juneau does have a small airport? Did you fly in, boat in, or walk in? Maybe you drove in. Is there any roads over the mountains from British Columbia?

Just got back from the Village in the Clouds, Niceeeeeeee. Couldnt afford to bet the box, Doc, my dsw wears the pants in my family, Wee Wee wouldnt send 20 bucks. So here i sit at home, broke, nothing for poor ol Smokey. Ahhh but the season looms...........Oh by the way LOW 48 HIGH 68 gonna miss that

The same thing I've been doing for 2 weeks; sitting in recliner with my foot propped up. Watching TV, bugging the wife and generally contemplating my umbilicus...............

My son and I are about to put some 45 acp down range. I've noticed ammo has been a little more available lately but certainly not cheaper!

I would tell you to get a .22LR conversion kit for that 1911. But, .22 shells are higher than .45ACP.......

Sad but true... It's really ridiculous to be honest... Speaking of 45acp, I love my 1911 but my latest purchase was a Glock 30SF and man that Glock is a sweet shooter!

I've been considering a plastic gun. I've been thinking along the lines of a Springfield XD .45. 13 rounds of .45 and a light rail sounds like good "things that go bump in the night medicine."

The main thing that makes me look XD over Glock is the grip safety. Any thoughts on that RyRy?

Well there are great arguments over grip safety's either way, but I'm not a big fan of them myself. I really wanted a big round with large capacity (10 rounds 45acp) in a "pretty small" package for conceal carry. I love the plastic gun myself after getting this Glock plus it eats any cheap round I've put through it like a dream. My brother has an XD and he loves it and actually uses it for conceal carry. I guess it just comes to personal preference and what is comfortable. Both are great guns and the reliability of both speak for themselves.

The Glock 30 I got also has a rail for a light/laser so it can serve as a duel-purpose firearm, home defense or concealed.
