I know Union High School went 21 years between home losses, just wondering who might have the second longest non loosing streak?

Is that the old Union/Dawson or the old Union/Terry?

It's been a while since either lost a home game. Union/Terry consolidated with Wellman several years ago and didn't play football before that. Union/Dawson shut down in the late '50s or early '60s. OBK can tell you for sure when.

Brownfield Union, Terry county. They startyed their football program ack 5 years before they consolidated with Wellman. Played the first two years as outlaws and all away games. The last three years were in the district with Ropes, Meadow, Wellman and New Home.
Won fist three homes games that year. First home season games in 21 years.

You learn something new everyday. I didn't know they played football before they consolidated.

Twenty-one years is a long time for not having a home loss, but not when you don't play any home games!

Actually, if my memory serves me correctly, and I believe it does, Richland Springs last home loss was to the great #1 ranked Panther Creek Panthers in 2001. Panther Creek was later knocked out of the playoffs by the Woodson Cowboys in an overtime game by the score of 27 to 20. The Woodson team was then eliminated in the Semi-Finals by Jordan Hicks and teammates (Richland Springs Coyotes) on the last play of the game by the score of 55 to 54.

That makes the home win streak of over ten years (2001 - 2011) for the Richland Springs Coyotes. Now, that is a long streak.
