Has a coach ever told you something you still remember to this day? Something that motivates you or makes you look at things differently?
In Rule, we had something called F.A.M.I.L.Y; "F-orget A-bout M-e I L-ove Y-ou"
Which means I have to think about the team weather it's blocking for a team mate , or giving up a 3 pointer for a friend to make a layup. Doing whatever helps the team. Basically putting others before yourself and not just be about me, me, me . I still incorporate "family' into my everyday life and I graduated 3 years ago and it helps me become a better father and husband. For example going to work to provide for my family even on days I don't want to or selling that mustang for a mini van for my growing family
(Lol) I'm sure there will be plenty more examples down the road, it's just crazy to me. Something a coach told me in high school helped me become a great teammate and more importantly a better person later in life.......
