On a semi-serious note. I grew up in a COC home and certainly don't mean to use the term "Campbellite" in a derogatory manner. In a way it kind of honors my dad who proudly proclaimed himself a Campbellite much to the dismay and chagrin of his elders and deacons.
I guess I get a lot of my smart**s attempts at humor from him.
I admire the confidence of faith that denomination displays, just don't agree with some of the doctrine.

Smokey, one of my old running buddies in HS dad was the COC preacher at Knott. I used to give him hades about being the only one of us to get to go to heaven. I figure if he could have a sense of humor about it, most other folks with a sense of humor could too.

The Battling Bloodletters have nothing to fear in that regard. We carry out our more severe punishments in privacy. There is the occasional public stoning of a harlot that shows a little too much ankle though.
