Guaranteed the most accurate ranking values

Finally a ranking system that pleases everyone:

1 [ insert your team]
2 [everyone else except...]
LAST [that team you hate]

ok revised system:

1 [ the team you think should be first]
Pick a number. [your team]
LAST [that team you hate][/quote]

to much credit is given for points and the swing , i do agree they should be a factor but much less than what is swinging the pendulum...
you know i really want you to be correct so dont take the issue so personal i dont think you are slighting any team.. the same is for grangers toy as well. keep trying.. i may ask some questions of your choices but they for the most are trying to understand where it is today and how you are improving it long before the end of the season..
good luck

You knew this was going to happen, right? It's like liking the the beaters after your mom mixes the cake batter. EVERYONE loves to complain about the rankings.

And to whoever said everyone said that RS would be last in every poll - that's only if we're ranking IQ's, or which school district has the most branches on a family tree.

Here it us guys & gals "The Real Deal Ranking System":
Last two teams standing after the State Championships for any given year are the #1 teams in their Division. The teams they beat are #2.
Everyone else who didn't make, is inconsequential until next year and only then IF they make it to the State Championship.
I think this ranking system saves a lot of heartache and whining and will maybe help Granger & Pete keep some hair on their heads....
****then we can all quit whining about the ranking system(s) and put the blame squarely where it belongs...on the biased refs who obviously hate our team and screwed us out of a W.

two doller i disagree many times the state game is played prior to the official game. rankings,,, the best two teams could be from the same district, region etc.

this year the west looks to be loaded but next year it could be differant thats why i think when people want to say the only way to find the best is a playoff you are only looking who was the best against the team they are playing only at that moment in time

If a team is the "Best" they will be in the State game. Rankings Lie. Wins Vs Losses do not. Every team start with a 0-0 record in week 0. What they accumulate between that time and the State game should be the ONLY measure of who deserves to be called (ranked) the "Best".
If a good team (including my beloved Greyhounds) has a bad week, or hurt players and gets an L, then they are not the "Best".
Rankings are great for fans. Not so much for Coaches & Players. From day 1 of two a day workouts, they have their eyes on the prize. State Championship Ring. Not the State Ranking Ring.

cham·pi·on
[cham-pee-uhn]
- noun 1. the best competitor 2. supporter - verb (used with object) 3. to support - adjective 4. best.

I suppose Websters could be wrong, but I doubt it.

does not mean the best two teams were in the final . you can assign any word you want most of the time you don’t have the best teams evenly divided into the regions. to add more to this the best team may be beaten by the another team on a given day. by your description if team a beats team b 1 out of ten times but it just happened to be in the play offs team a is the better team... i disagree the better team is the one that wins the most against the better competition. not the team that plays lesser teams and had a lucky day
and yes you are wrong

I agree with you, but since it's not a perfect world, you gotta bring your A game every time to prove you're the best.
