Greatest Six Man Fan

There would be two different categories here. The first, being the fan of the game. That category includes at #1 all time über-fan Don Hardin, cowboy, Leman, etc.

The second would be the ultimate hometown fan. The guy from Knox City, the megaphone lady from Richland Springs, cowboy, and Rainjack.

The fan, the 7th man, the backers are such a big part of the game, as ultimately, the game itself is entertainment, and the entertainees are the fan.

Thanks for conveying what I could not, hornkeeper. Mr. Hardin, Granger, and all the 6-man history buffs are what I would consider fans of the game. They are an integral part of 6-man football, but they are not who I am aiming at in this thread.

The face painters, the internet warriors, the fence-line experts, and the little old man whose been to every Silverton Owl athletic event since 1950-something - those are the guys I am interested in. Some are obvious like the dentally challenged lady from RS, or the Happy Cowboy. Some are famous only if you log into 6-man football to read their drivel. But there are many more that are virtually unknown to everyone else.

Those are the superfans. Those are the greatest fans. I think just about every 6-man town has at least one, so who are they?

Richland Springs Coyotes have numerous fans, but one very special fan is a lady who is 105 years old and never misses a home game. I am sorry that I don't know her name. I hope someone will help me out there.

Wow,Greatness

I've never heard Guy Young do a game but I have to challenge that claim on # 2 regarding an announcer. Listen to a Strawn game on Microplex News. Reese Sparks get's real excited on the Hound's behalf.

I'm always amazed to hear people complain about a local radio stations announcers being "Homers". Until ESPN, CBS, fox sports or any major broadcasting companies start bringing us high school football we are going to have local radio bringing us their hometown teams. If you have a problem with it, don't listen. Pretty simple.
Do you think Dave South isn't a homer for the Aggies or Craig Wey for the 'Horns?
