End of a friendship......

These are by no means a no brainer, and I'm from one of the four. So I understand the division between the two of you.

I would have to say look at the facts. Follett/Water Valley is going to be a GREAT game. Maybe the best regular season match up of the year, but I know I love watching a football game that means something. Follett/Water Valley has nothing more to it then just being a great game, it can't even be enjoyed with the hope of a rematch in November.

That is why I personally am going to the Throck/Crowell game. It should be a great game, both teams know how to put points on the board and as if the game wasn't going to be good enough just given the caliber of the two teams on the field, you can also watch it and keep in mind there is a possible rematch next month. I believe this game is the true begining of something special for both teams.

On a side note, those who say Crowell is going to get "thumped" should consider that this game was decided by 30 points last year BUT FELT CLOSER THAN 30 and was a great game to the end. It was the first test for Throck on their way to their second straight title. Also much like this year the loser last year got Ira in the first round another game that was great. Crowell has showed they can hang with the best, and although I won't promise a victory, I can say that to assume Crowell isn't going to be their when the final horn blows in the 4th, to me, seems to be an ignorant assumtion. MY VOTE CROWELL OVER THROCKMORTON (POSSIBLY) IS TOO GOOD A OPPORTUNITY TO PASS UP. Fight to the end CATS!

I guess I'm confused or I didn't read that post right but last seasons score was 80-50 Throck. I wouldn't totally look past Knox City in this either because last season they did give Crowell a game. Knox City is no push over this season either. All I'm saying is we will find out on the field in a few great weeks. Good luck to all the teams in this district.

Go with the WV/Follett game.
Follett by 12
Crowell vs Throck
Throck by 20

Can't go wrong tho. I just like the fact that wv/Follett is D1 vs D2.

How much gas are you willing to burn? If you want to help Jayton pay off the debt for the field go there. Other wise I would head down to Throck.

I disagree with some of yall...I think BOTH games are going to be great games!

Throck v Crowell is a district game so it has an added incentive to it.

But I would pick the WV v Follett game because I think the best in DII are Grandfalls and Follett and Water Valley would be a challenging common opponent.

Don't count out the Motley Co v Richland Springs game either!

I thought Richland was open............

Looked at the schools schedules and that game wasn't on their schedules. But why wouldn't people count it out? RS would 45 MC easy. -_-Zzzz

It also says its a district game........ something is a little wrong there........ according to the local paper, Richland Springs is open.

Look at Leman! Hijacking threads!

Back to the original subject. If you're a member of a clique, I'd stay away from the Crowell game. Some folks from there are upset about cliques.

No blow out in the Throck/Crowell contest. It will be our first week of football where the cold weather will be a factor and turnovers will determine the winner.

You can't lose either way you go with these two games. Like others have said, a district rivalry game may provide for some interesting occurrences and possibly an upset. But you have to consider WV and Follet as two super powers in 6man colliding...there won't be a rematch and it is a one time opportunity only!

Team dynamics, players and coaches change from year to year, thus, therefore, this is a one time opportunity...next year is a whole different enchilada...
