It’s a moot point, but district 2 goes by points allowed in case of a three way tie where head to head can’t determine the winner.
Example Team A beats Team B 50 - 20, Team B beats Team C 40 – 15, and Team C beats Team A 60 – 50.
Team A’s points allowed would be 80 pts.
Team B’s points allowed would be 65 pts.
Team C’s points allowed would be 90 pts.
This format encourages teams to play defense not run up the score on their opponent. According to the results above the district would shake out as follows:
1st place Team B
2nd place Team A
3rd place Team C
If a tie still remains between two teams with points allowed it goes to head to head between those two teams...
