Who takes 2nd if Aquilla beats Penelope, & Bynum beats Abbott?

Makes it a three way tie at 1-2 for second... Not sure of that district tiebreaker.

District 9
If Throckmorton d. Gordon and Knox City d. Paint Creek, then Throck is first and KC is second.

Big IF there. What happens WHEN Gordon beats Throck and all three are at a 2-1 record? Who takes first and who takes second then?

Oh come now Mr. Golden, we know that's been tried before and the UIL in their infinite wisdom didn't like it..............
Seriously though, I wish they'd at least put 5-6 teams in a district (if not more) for more important games.
As you also know with out the 2nd place team making it Strawn would not have won state either time as Gordon beat them in district both years.

Story I remember is the reason they started putting more teams in the play-offs is back in the 70's and 80's Odessa Permian and Midland Lee were in the same district and sometimes both ranked top 5 in the state. Allowing second teams to advance provided tough districts an chance for two teams to shine in the playoffs until they met again.

I probably shouldnt take the bag off the cat but, I was partially giggin Mr. G there. He played for Strawn EON's ago (when Campbell coached there) but teaches at Gordon.
