District Champions

I assume most districts will crown a champion next week, but to those of ya'll that are able to check in on every district, Have any already been officially crowned or could be this week? Our guys have a chance tonight but the fan in me is curious about the rest of the state.

D1 District 6 could be wrapped up tonight if Knox City wins over Perrin. They are picked by 15.

If Perrin pulls out the upset, then Knox City, Newcastle and Perrin each will have 1 loss in district.

So it sounds like the district committee will need to meet tomorrow, or sometime, to get the Newcastle/Knox City/Perrin-Whit district order straightened out. From what I understand, though, KC is thinking the point differential includes a +/- point differential counting wins and losses and PW is thinking only the winning points are included. Either way, Newcastle is sitting at #1, as long as Bryson doesn't play spoiler next week.

Hopefully we'll know more by tomorrow, but only time will tell.

Abbott plays Aquilla next week. That will be for the district title.

When it comes down to seeing who goes by points I believe only 24 points is allowed . So if you 45 a team they only use 24 points of that . They will look at the head to head first . Then the wins after that if there is still a tie they go to the 24 point system I believe

Are you talking about this district, specifically, having a 24 point cap? I heard this district's cap is 18, but the person I got that info from also didn't have their paper sitting in front of them so they couldn't be absolutely certain until later today. I know every district sets their own rules regarding tie-breakers. As @Coach Cooley said in another thread, some districts still use a coin toss, instead of the point differential, for tie-breakers.
