Not to get ahead of ourselves or anything. Just a general consensus about how everyone feels since we are in District play and have seen a couple district games now.

It's hard to get a true idea of who is the better team. In another post we read something like If A >B and C>A then C>B. True, but these teams are 2 to 3 teams removed from each other. Seguin beat Tribe, Tribe lost to Buckholts, Buckholts lost to Tomball, Brenham beat Tomball. What does that tell us? Nothing. The only direct comparison is Dallas Covenant, and that was a game 0 for Tyler St.
Seguin should win the rest of the games, as should Brenham. Who knows about Tyler, there last game is against Irving who played Throck and Milford, but got killed.
I know who I want to win and who I think will win based on my "homer" stats. That being said, I'm going with Happy Hill Farm, I like the name!

I agree with you completely... This is an opinion poll. So facts are not the only thing to determine what an individual thinks or wants to happen. Just because someone votes for a team at this point doesn't mean he/she will be right, it's just their opinion.

it appears the poll isn't working. I would say Brenham is my pick, but i can forsee some other teams beating them. Also, I never count out Freddy.

I tried to submit my opinion but the form returned and said "incomplete form, try to resubmit". Maybe I just picked the wrong team?

The winner of the seguin/brenham game (which will be brenham) will win the title in moody... but something keeps telling me not to count Tyler street out!

Veezy, I think that tyler St has a chance to get to the big game but they won't win it. Two of your old team mates have rings and that may help the team in general if they get to the big game. Some people may not like me saying this but when they play big games coaching is their down fall. I seen them play cristway two years ago the coach would not adjust his pass D and that one kid Christway had ate them up in the second half. They Brenham on the run that same year they would not make adjustments ran Hunt to death Brebham just stack the line. Brenham kick a field goald near the end of the game that year, Tyler St. did not rush, I ask an Asst. Coach what was the deal he told me the coach was afaird that they were going to fake it. I latter was told that the coach did not knoew the rule that you caan run a block field goal back. Maybe this will be their year.

Yeah astro you kinda got me confused lol but I say brenham will win it all but im saying I wouldnt be surprised if some how Tyler street does good against them! keep in mind that Tyler street Had two of three starters missing when they played brenham! When your starting quarterback isnt playing it will be hard for you to win.. Thats why they lost by 50! but anyway i say Brenham will win it all at the end of the day! We beat them last year in the title game.. i dont think they will lose in the title game two years in a row

Haven't seen Brenham play this year, but did last year and they were impressive. Based on who they've played this year and their margin of victory in those games, Brenham has my vote.

I know everybody thinks Lifegate and Brenham are the top two. There is one huge difference between the two schools this year, non-district schedules!

Lifegate: CASA, Chester and Tribe
Brenham: Bryan Allen, Rosehill, Cedar Park Sumitt and Covenant

4 Potential Playoff teams in D1 (and all were destroyed) vs. average teams (at best)

I agree all the way with you on this one.. And that is why brenham willl win it all in moody this year

Mac Brown said 78% of all games are lost not won. Think about that. What do you hope for your team? That they just receive some 30$ trophy at the end of the night? That they have some "title " at the end of the day ? Does it matter to you that you where matched against an equal opponent and that they were healthy , that they played their best...and that at the end of the night YOU WON and not just have this golden trophy because the other team LOST. There is a game that is played on this field where there are no losers. Vary rarely do you get to see such a battle,,,,but when you do , you feel a certain sacred appreciation for the moment and a deep respect for those warriors you just witnessed in battle. I love this game and watch for those moments. I look forward to the Brenham game(if we get there) because of the potential for one of those epic battles. Such was the case last year. Brenham won..., but there were no losers one that field. I've seen some state championship scores where the team got 45'd. Sad for both teams IMO. I hope for some classic football match ups in the finals. And if we get that,,,,nobody can call those games.

And you may be right. Brenham has played a pretty darn tough schedule. On paper, I'd say Brenham would be the favorite. But that game is more than four weeks away. Lots of things can happen between now and then.

Just like Brenham was the favorite some December day last year in Moody. And perhaps Matt and his boys over there by the Blue Bell Ice Cream factory remember that, too (which probably doesn't help my cause, either).

We play the game on the field, not on paper. Let's see what happens.

I'm thinking, the way you talk, you must be a fan of at least one thing in Brenham......Ice Cream!

Now with the power you posses (and more important, the pictures) you should be able to swing a Semi game here in Brenham. You could show up early and do a tour at the factory, get a scoop or 4 and then hit the game. Holt Park is a nice field.

Shucks, we'd love to ... but I think the factory tours don't operate on Saturday, when we'd have to play ....

Darn.

Hey Astro55, I was cruise'n through some of the post on this subject and I was wondering..... Does Tyler Street really lack coaching in big games? I know this is a football site, but didn't Tyler Street when 2 or 3 "State Championships" in the past two seasons? I just was wondering if those games and track meets that they won consisted of a lack of coaching....
