Random question: has there ever been a team that started as six man, won state as six man, and then won state at a higher classification?
Was Celina 1A (what is B classification???) back when they "won" (it was a tie) the championship in the 70's? They've won multiple since the 90's. Maybe that one qualifies for an asterisk.

Until 1972 6man Football schools were classifieds as B schools.
Playoffs were Bi-district then Regional.

Here is the link I found that info on.

Texas High School Football Record Book

In all the state playoff brackets, sixman has always been called 1A Six-Man The class B schools are the schools that are
2A today. As far as the state archives go, there are no schools that I can that won a championship in sixman and 11 man both.
There are 3 schools playing sixman that won an 11 man champioship before becoming sixman. Union Hill has 2, Knox City has 1 and White Deer 1.

O'Brien could be close to having both sixman and 11-man championships since it is actually Knox City-O'Brien ISD

No.

Class B had 3 divisions until 1976, 6 man, 8 man, and 11 man. 8 man was stopped after the 1975 season. Class B continued on through the 1979 season, when the UIL re-organized and made Class B into 1A with two divisions, 6 man and 11 man.

I did find those brackets odd calling it 1A Six-Man and an 11-man tteam Class B. I also remember them going to 5 classes and having1A Six-Man and 1A 11-man. Six-Man schools stilled competed against 11-man schools in all other sports I beleive until around 2000-2001 school year and basketball became separate. Then track and field in 2012-2013 and finally in 2014-2015 went to 6 classifications and all sports were separate with Six-Man size schools being 1A,
