Basketball doesn't rank anyone until the state tourney. I guess you could use a ranking system once your have your regional games completed. That would make it the same as basketball. I don't think it would have changed the state game this year in D I. By that time it would have been a Valley-May semi-final and a Crowell-Abbott semi-final. If the scores are a good indicator, it would have been the same two in the final game. D II would have been different.
