Benjamin: Will Anyone Challenge?

Can Benjamin beat Crowell twice this season? Crowell has been good this season and they can actually tackle their opponents. Benjamin has to be nervous about real competition. Then Jayton, Newcastle or possibly Balmorhea in the playoffs. Not a cakewalk.

Back in the day, you only played district champions. So the first round wasn’t a cake walk. If you do it by the old guys numbers, most D1 schools would be playing crowded football. The modern day rules are bent more to help the offense. That’s why the scores have only gone up since the old days. And like or not when two coaches collude together and plan where to go to win a championship (don’t forget Hayes, Riggdon, Etheridge fiasco from last year), everyone will put an asterisk beside your state title. That’s the price you pay. Why is the comeback to if you disagree you are jealous? It’s legal and by all means if your school wants to pay for it do it, but don’t lecture the rest of us about how hard your program works at winning a championship.
 
I think Jayton will be the best challenge for Benjamin but that’s a long time to playoffs as long as both teams stay healthy this will be a great game even better than the d2 state game will be this year. I don’t think either team should be ordering their state rings just yet but there is a extreme gap between these two teams and the next 8 on the rankings. I just hope they schedule that on a date and time I could actually come watch. Both teams have talented players and good coaching staff and neither team should feel they could 45 the other. Just my 2 cents and it’s worth what you paid for it.

It does mean more money and that’s ok. I’m not a gambling fan but I’d bet the number or percentage let’s say of games ending by 45 is much higher now than it was before all these schools came along. The kid from Ft Hancock should be in this conversation as well. . They won state four years in a row. Cedric is in the conversation no doubt kid was amazing but best all time is pushing it.

I believe the kid(s) from The Fort you’re referring to must be Vicente “Cheetah” Ramirez and/or Brent Henderson.

If it means that much to you believe me you can have the #1 Ranking.
I mean you did give up 30+ points to the team WB just held last week to 0 points and negative total yards.. That game ended at halftime. When did yours end? Oh that's right the 4th quarter but that can't be because you said no one would go 4 quarters with KC this season. I guess mistakes in judgment were made on your part. It's ok, it happens. Ask everyone last year on the Abbott bandwagon how that worked out for them.
So yes, by all means you can be ranked wherever you want cause at the end of the day, it doesn't matter.

Knox City beating Westbrook should never have attested to how good KC was, that should open your eyes to how wide open the door is in d1 there isn’t a real difference between #1 through #20. Just different levels.

Ones that weren't afraid to be put on the schedule??? Benjamin is paying schools to play them and being very selective about it. Why not just play a tough schedule and prove your are # 1 instead of constantly talking about it!! The empty wagon always rattles the loudest!!

Bulldog there were a few schools that turned them down but they were all ranked over 100 on the toy. They then starting calling teams and offering them money to play them and that's a fact...

So the teams they offered money where they top 10 teams in either d1 or d2 on the toy and if not why did teams turn down the money? Thank you for this info by the way.

I really don’t because the way I was brought up was that you wanted to challenge the best because you gain knowledge by playing the best. If you don’t test yourself you don’t get better, unless you have no intention of trying to better yourself but just are trying to create hype for yourself or others for personal gain than you wouldn’t seek out the best you can so that you could grow you would seek teams you felt beneath yourself to beat. If that’s the state of affairs in Benjamin Tx at this moment than that is sad and I do not condone it.
