A Texan in Illinois. What brought you up here?
I am an engineer working in nuclear power plants. I spent 17 years at Comanche Peak and in 1997 Exelon made me an offer to work at the Dresden plant near Morris (I live in Minooka) that was too good to turn down. By the time I left Dresden, my older two sons were in high school and I promised them (and the other two) I would not move them again. Still here.

Thought I would share this link again as it has just eclipsed the 40 year mark since it first aired. It was filmed in Gordon during the fall of 1980 and aired on the morning of December 1st as part of NBC's Today Show broadcast. This may be the first national tv coverage of a Texas six-man football team/town. It certainly was the first of many national pieces covering Gordon through the years. The Today Show would return to Gordon the next year to follow up and I am still hoping to get a copy of that sometime.

You need to remove Sterling City off the bottom list. Thanks for updating

I'm betting there are a lot but one that used to be around here is Goree.
Megargel is another one. We actually played them in basketball when I was in school but I don't believe they ever had enough kids to field a football team during those years.
