3 peat

Ya some people were just asking me if it was a penalty or not and I wasn't sure. Just was curious. I realize its just football and that's part of it. I did exchange some words with Parsley after he did it to me though haha.

Its football. Parsley and crew destroyed the weight room everyday before or after practice. The most physical wins the battle.

We graduated one of the strongest young men in the game last year and he had been doing it since his grade school years.

See yall next year?

Best of luck to everyone next season!!

I don't know if anybody here watched the state game, but I was just curious if it was a penalty to pick someone up and slam them to the ground such as Mitchell Parsley did from Crowell.

It's a penalty for sure......in flag football. :)

Never underestimate a group of kids who have been a part of two state championships. A tradition has been started and when a group of kids believe they can win and expect to win, and are willing to put in the hard work in the summer that is required, watch out. A lot of schools have that tradition until they absolutely run out of kids that believe that way.
These younger players also have the benefit of 5 extra weeks of practice each year. Half of a season for extra skill development is a big deal at this age.

No they will not 3 peat.....

Not trying to start a peeing contest but who's your favorite then?

If my Cats were in the East I feel we would run the table. Since we are in the meat grinder side and loosing a LOAD of talent I feel this next years group has some work to do to get back.

With that said I think by mid year if not sooner they will "peak" as everyone says. We still have a VERY talented group of underclassmen that have been the scout team for the best team in the State and the Nation these last two runs. They are hungry for a starting position!!

Best of luck to everyone at this point!!!

Correct. Our Sophomores next year have already basically played three seasons, again with the best starters in the State the last two years.

I expect a mid to upper teens ranking to start and then hear the Jefferson's theme as we roll into the playoffs. Dedication in the off season is going to be key for us!! If the weight room and track aren't utilized it may be a short season. I think this next group of Seniors are going to step into the leadership roll and push the under classmen!! Heck the Defensive MVP of the State game destroys the weight room daily and it showed. 10 pounds of muscle over the summer and that fella is gonna be an animal next season.

Again best of luck to everyone as its now a clean slate!! Its anybody's ball game at this point...

Crowell will win several games during the season.
KEY MATCH-UP with Knox City within the district that will decided the district title.

Crowell will get beat during the playoffs.

GREAT RUN, Once of the best sixman teams I've seen.
GREAT COACHING STAFF.

But at the end of the day, Losing Parsley, Brown, Perez, Taylor, Moya, Burkett will take its toll (got these names from all region list).....
Losing that many STUDS will hurt, we can get on here and everyone of us can yak it up about HOW GOOD CROWELL HAS BEEN and THEY BEEN PRETTY DARN GOOD....

BUT JUST LIKE RICHLAND SPRINGS......... ONCE THAT MANY STUDS LEAVES YOUR CAMPUS FOR GRADUATION, it's darn hard to replace and keep up that kind'a winning mojo....

Crowell will be competitive because they're defensive coach is a fired up mo-gator and he'll have them pumped, but ..... in the end, losing a kid like PARSLEY is darn near impossible to replace.
YES I know the coaches son is coming up next....... BUT PARSLEY A RARE BIRD

I agree on most of your points but other than a mention of KC who do you see taking to Jerrys House or a couple three rounds.

I'll even narrow it down to just the West. KC,BC,IRA,WV,VALLEY will always be on my list.

Heck just our Region.

Again not trying to stir the pot just looking for honest opinions. Loosing this group of seniors is HUGE!!!!! This senior class as a whole is the most talented I have seen grace Dick Todd Field in my nearly twenty years of keeping the field mowed. They have been a Coaches dream team!! But again I feel we have the athlete's to make another deep run or trip to the big house.

Its the same ole meat grinder in the West so like before its anyone's game at this point!!

Congratulations to the Crowell Wildcats. What an amazing couple of years and during this time frame they have had a group of exceptional athletes combined with strong coaching.

They can 3 peat, but I believe they will have to overcome great odds or change one essential element. This element does not pertain to athleticism or Xs & Os.

I am interested to hear what each of you think that key ingredient might be.

I'll bite? Since the boys did all the work and it doesn't pertain to athleticism or Xs and Os about the only thing left are Coaches or fanbase. ITS not Coaches for sure as the ones in place proved they can get it done!!!! We just purchased a new bus so its not a logistics thing. What might it be??

Fans?? If so please don't lump us all in one. EVERY school has their rabid fans and their uneducated kids that flap their gums on here or over the fence at a game when they should just bite their tongues and move on. I'll support everyone!! Sports used as an education tool is why I like to see the game played. Wins and losses are important but its not everything.

I look for the Valley/Borden County winner to come out of Region I and represent the WEST in the State Finals.
Vs. May

Yes May will be on their 3rd trip to Jerry's World..

I'm guessing May is the Buffalo Bills of sixman........WHICH AIN'T BAD SINCE NO OTHER TEAM IN THE EAST CAN MAKE IT TO THE BIG CITY.

But my finals in 2015 will be
Valley/Borden County
Vs.
MAY

AND MAY WINS THIS ONE

Oh no!! Kramer's kiss of death!! He has finally picked May to win it all instead of finishing last in their district. May will be lucky to make the playoffs now!

Crowell might be able to do a 3 peat, but it will be after the battles. All of their playoff games will be closer with the ever present chance of an upset.

Crowell could possibly win it again next year but it will be difficult. To be as good as they have been the kids and the parents have bought into what the coaches are selling. It takes talent and great coaching to be that good. The kids obviously have respect for their coach or they wouldn't work as hard as they do. Great coaches know how to read each kid and know they are all different. They know how far to push them and also motivate them. A great coach knows that kids will play harder if they hear the good things and not just how bad they do. Along with great fans is why Crowell has been as dominant as they have been.
