Will Crowell 3 peat........
I know MOST folks will have them #1..... But losing #14, 42 will hurt and this is why they'll come up short and not 3 peat.....

In the mean time, My WAY early 2015 top 6.....

6. Abbott
5. Crowell
4. Knox City
3. May ....... Previously I put Blum but meant to type in May
2. Borden County
1. Valley

If Crowell continues to stay physical and block the way they do for their QB/SB I wouldn't see why they couldn't 3 peat. That number 14 had all day to throw not because of his ability to escape but because of the blocking by the upbacks. If that number 1 for Crowell is returning all they have to do is have somebody throw the ball up and he'll come down with it.

No chance they repeat. Maybe Valley can finally make it all the way but I doubt that to maybe Ira I doubt that to either way it should be a better state game since the past two years have been a disappointment. We should start handing out metals for oh your so close but not quite there.

If I'm not mistaken, Abbott and Blum will lose a lot to graduation. May and Strawn will also lose most of their starters as well. All four have good programs and of course you can never count them out. From the east I expect Zephyr and Gordon to be favorites for 2015. Both will return a large portion of what made them successful this year.

I think we will see another team emerge from the west in DI. Crowell, like the teams mentioned above, will loose an enormous amount of talent to graduation. I think they will still be good, but I would be highly surprised if they are picked #1 in the preseason.

I see Crowell 3 peating. Everyone has been wrong so far about Crowell. Shows everyone in here the rankings yall start out with are wrong. That Junior class coming up is going to put it on every team again next season. Crowell is deep with talent for years to come. But I guess some don't see that? Just like yall didn't see back to back championships. Good luck to all teams Crowell plays next season.

Not sure if any of yall saw the back up spread back warming up, but he looks identical to Parsley. The arm is just as good, and they are both exactly the same size. Just curious if he can run as good. If he can run half as good he will do whatever he pleases because of the great blocking and receivers. Crowell three-peats.

They are a very well-coached team. Their sophomores looked very impressive in that last game-winning drive. Those younger kids didn't look lost or apprehensive at all. They just lined up and executed the plays. Their offensive scheme is well-thought out, as is their defense.

Somebody is gonna have to be very good to beat them next year.

Never underestimate a group of kids who have been a part of two state championships. A tradition has been started and when a group of kids believe they can win and expect to win, and are willing to put in the hard work in the summer that is required, watch out. A lot of schools have that tradition until they absolutely run out of kids that believe that way.

I personally think May will have one of the fastest, if not the fastest backfield in the state next year. They have a 3 returners, 2 who didn't play due to injuries. They all are very fast and EXTREMELY elusive. The younger kids on the line will have to step up, but I have no doubt in my mind that they will be able to. May will not only be a force to reckon with next year, but for a several years to come. I think they can make it back to state for a 3rd time in a row. Maybe it'll be against Crowell, maybe not.

I'm not sure Crowell will win it again next year. It is hard to win it once but twice is impressive. I know they lose some talent but alot of other great teams do also. It will be fun to see how it turns out. Don't count them out.

Who is "everyone"?
Who is "yall"?
I had Crowell at #1 since day 1. I had Throckmorton at #1 since the first game.
In fact, I can't think of a single person who didn't have Crowell picked to repeat. I mean, they dominated last years game and only graduated 1 major player. You sure are bitter for someone who just won a 2nd state championship in a row!

The coaches son is going to be a beast these next two seasons. Still got Perez the state defense mvp next season too. Those are just the tip of Crowells arsenal. Yall just sit back and wait and watch these youngsters dominate next season.

Link to Granger's preseason ranking. http://www.sixmanfootball.com/rankings_by_division_14_pre.php

You may notice that Crowell was ranked #1 from the start.

Sorry to sound so bitter to some.lol..but if you read in earlier post Crowell was ranked 2nd behind Ira for the first few games. Same as last year. I don't want to keep this going. Sorry for some of yalls memory loss. We all slept since then.

Yep, Ira jumped Crowell in the COMPUTER for three weeks. That was due to who they played in the first few weeks. Remember, Ira beat Valley by 47 in the first week and Ropes in week 2. When Crowell's schedule finally picked up a few weeks later, everything adjusted... it was actually even adjusting a few points every week after week 1...

But Crowell was the preseason favorite.

I don't know if anybody here watched the state game, but I was just curious if it was a penalty to pick someone up and slam them to the ground such as Mitchell Parsley did from Crowell.

It was a bit strange watching it live, but the reality is that nobody is just trying to pick them up to slam them down... they are trying to just slam them down. It just happened, a clean tackle
