White Deer vs Whiteface

It’s not really a big deal but I heard that White Deer was going to take a knee for the first play of the game to let Whiteface score ending the shutout streak. Again I want to clarify that I know this doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things but I’m just curious to know what happened.
