It's early and a lot of the smaller schools haven't been turned in yet so the number will go down...I'm just trying to provide a streaming update of the lines movement

61.016 is the middle

and the best looking place for a split is 59 and up DI with 43 schools, 58 and down DII with 47 schools (this is all counting Medina in)

I show 137 total Public schools (counting White Deer, Tioga, and Gholson)

Makes 48 left we don't have on this thread...right...(not counting Star or Benjamin)

So yes the cut off number looks like it will be about the same (looking at the schools that are missing)...might be 1 or 2 higher than last time but pretty close to the same

If the UIL actually wants to make the split fair and equitable, the D1-D2 split will be at the 45 to 50 number. Schools with 50 or more can easily field a JV with some left over. Having a decent scout team to practice against is a distinct advantage. Just dividing down the middle does nothing for fairness.
