Snapshot Day

Six-man expert
Coming up very quick!

Everyone turns in one way to count....then if you are over the cut off you can use options to get under it to play 6man football BUT you will still be in 2A in all other activities....that's my understanding of it

That is correct....there might be some schools that could be playing sixman football but be participating in the 2A division for everything else (basketball, track, oap, uil...etc)

The formulas still exist for sixman football eligibility.

Out west there definitely will be new schools added to the 1-A division in basketball, track OAP, UIL...etc--Rumor has it that Van Horn and Iraan-Sheffield both will be dropping to the 1A division due to numbers...not sure if they will choose to play sixman football, but it sounds like their numbers are low enough to be eligible. This could change the district landscape in non-football events in the far West for sure. This will be a very interesting realignment, especially out West...

Time to start sharing numbers...

Last year's Sixman cutoffs using the formulas were DI 55-104.9, D2--54 and below
Snapshot for all Texas' schools will be October 25th, 2019
Realignment Results will be announced sometime in February of 2020
